    e coin throwing:

"We are Stoke, we don't complain"

Except against ref's who disallow goals
Except against ref's who give penalties against us
Except against the FA for the fixture list.

    Well, that's OK then

I do wonder sometimes why he says things like that. i would rather he says nothing or says everything, its very difficult to hold a halfway house!

He'll look a bit stupid the next time he complains about a referee (probably this weekend), that's for sure.

Sometimes its best to just be who you are rather than pander to the press and please everyone!

    Smither's
Brian Clugh? <yikes> For me, that guy was a legend but that's just my own oppinion. He said what he wanted to say and didn't give a feck if anyone didn't like it. Especially the F.A. No wonder he didn't get the England job.

    T.P. He's a Leg End too!

Agreed on that one Potts - he was his own man!!

So is Wenger - love him or loathe him and believe this or believe it not - I have a high regard of him AND his footballing philosophies, which I honestly think are not to dissimilar to Waddingtons'm

Crikey - what have I said!!!!

Despite the fact that I don't really like Arsene Wenger. I don't know why I don't like him, I just don't.

But, I'm full of respect for what he has achieved at Arsenal. Do us a favour and don't tell the Arsenal
    fans we both respect him.
If we get too pally with Gunners fans, it wouldn't be fun anymore.

Nope - The Damned United is a super film.
Martin Sheen is brilliant as Clough and so is Timothy Spall as Peter Taylor - just watch it - you will enjoy it!

I thought it was terrible and it made Brian Clough look like a right big headed barsteward.. yeah O.K. it wasn't that bad.

Just off topic.. I saw this comment on the Arsenal board earlier when refering to the arrest of Bendtner.

A gunner's fan said " He's not world class yet, but he's proved he can do some damage" <doh>

Tee Hee - but Potts, Cloughie WAS a big headed Barsteward AND a GENIUS.

A true bit from the film, in the first half of a game it is absolutely bucketing down and at half time the crowd are singing "Cloughie Cloughie stop the rain, it STOPS raining !! And you see Clough grinning to himself,

    Magic

Legend he was - but even the greats fall on their own sword! Such a shame and alcohol should be banned just for what it did to him!

Agreed Smithers and brown paper bags/envelopes!!

As you inferred, most, if not ALL genius's ARE flawed.

    Idols with feet of clay!!

    Except ME of course <whistle>
