Frankenstein 8.2/10 visually spectacular but also a clever retelling with good performances.

    Frankenstein

This is another Del Toro masterpiece.

Is he the greatest living director?

    He very well could be.

His vision, his artistry, his skill!

    Just a magnificent film.

    9.5/10

And you say I'm over the top! It's a good film and visually incredible but not a 9.5 the performances are good but nothing incredible and the story drags at times. Greatest living directors? He's certainly one of the modern interesting directors but not the greatest for me. All opinion off course.

Uwe Boll makes Tommy Wisaeu look Hitchcockian tbh.

I'd think nae cùnt would notice if he died.

    It's all.about opinions my friend.

And let's face it, my opinion is always on point where as yours, well, it leaves a lot to be desired a lot of the time.

Is Del Toro the greatest living director?

He's up there that's for sure.

His films over the last few decades have been some of the best films ever made. His hit list is incredible.

I loved this film. Thought it was excellent. Everything about it.

    I gave it 9.5.

I may revisit a few years from now and upgrade it to a 10.

But we both know, im not the one in here that's known for going OTT and throwing 10s out willynilly

    That's your job.

Prime suggested I might want to watch ‘Orthodox’. Stephen Graham plays a mega religious North London Jew who does illegal boxing to make ends meet. So far it’s as bad as it sounds.

Always interesting watching these actors getting interviewed by Graham Norton ... especially when they enter and get the obligatory 'mwa, mwa' from GN who is himself a midget and therefore a fair visual measurement ...

Stephen Graham is actually 5ft 5" and Cillian Murphy 5ft 7" ... who says the camera never lies? ... Jason Statham is 4ft 3" and made entirely out of MDF, disproving once and for all that he is in any way, shape, or form, wooden. ..
