Watford v Bristol City

Roll it back to PP's last game and when we scored all three goals in a 2-1 home win against Oxford we sat in 10th and 3 points off the playoffs. Then, only 9 games in, with 3 wins, 3 losses and 3 draws, we all know what happened next. The axe was wielded, and a new yet recognisable head coach was brought in.

Since then, Javi Garcia's results have been:

Sheffield Utd 1-0 (a) loss, WBA 2-1 (h) win, Coventry (a) 3-1 loss, Boro (h) 3-0 win, Ipswich (a) 1-1 draw.

That's 7 points from 15. However, performance wise we have been looking better with an old school 4-4-2 being used with Louza running the show. The atmosphere amongst the fans and players seems to have changed now, although we are now in 12th but still 3 points off the playoffs.

This Friday Watford face Bristol City under the floodlights at Vicarage Road. The next game is on the 22nd of November due to another upcoming international break. Bristol City have lost their last two games but sit in 7th.

We may well look like we have trodden water but the quality of the opposition has been higher yet it's clear that we can see the team are being coached and that there are systems in place. We have definitely progressed.
