Melker Widell makes his first Championship start and Liam Cullen comes into the XI for Swansea City’s Championship clash with Preston North End at Deepdale.

The Swedish midfielder and Wales international come in for Jisung Eom and Ronald respectively.

Zan Vipotnik is fit enough for a place on the bench, but Zeidane Inoussa misses out with an injury.

Lawrence Vigouroux is in goal, with captain Ben Cabango, Kaelan Casey and Cameron Burgess again making up the Swansea defence.

Josh Key and Josh Tymon continue at wing-back, with Goncalo Franco and Ethan Galbraith in midfield.

Widell and Cullen provide support for Adam Idah in the final third.

Swansea City: Lawrence Vigouroux; Ben Cabango (captain), Kaelan Casey, Cameron Burgess; Josh Key, Goncalo Franco, Ethan Galbraith, Josh Tymon; Melker Widell, Liam Cullen, Adam Idah.

Substitutes: Andy Fisher, Jay Fulton, Malick Yalcouye, Zan Vipotnik, Jisung Eom, Ishe Samuels-Smith, Manuel Benson, Ricardo Santos, Ronald.

Pleased that Vipotnik is on the bench but surprised as I was assured that he hadn’t travelled on the coach

Thanks Taff. I have just got back from a few weeks in Italy. It seems we are putting in decent performances but lacking creativity in the final third. Why I am not surprised by that.
I saw Idah's goal from the Charlton game so hopefully he will continue to take this opportunity whilst Vip is sidelined. We are more than.capable of winning tonight but I will gor for 1-1.

Clearly the new managers bounce has gone, and we have gone back into our old ways. We are not producing enough cutting edge around the final third as usual.

No good all this sideways and back passing and defending just to tread water. I think the gaffer could be in trouble if this malaise continues.....<ok>
