Our laws are no longer appropriate to ‘new’ crime. They were written when the people were subjects and generally behaved so were based on trust .They are no longer fit for purpose .

Can you please give a couple of examples? I'll be honest, I don't see what you are getting at in this context.
I do get it in terms of conventions written in totally different times for totally different circumstances to how they are now being selectively used. But not illegal trading, illegal working, illegal employment, avoidance of taxation, etc etc.

Dont be fooled, it is all part of the 'divide and rule' agenda. Their job is to stir up the hatred as much as the flag wavers and extreme muslims. I was buying 20/20 from a white guy who ran a little fruit and veg shop in Bilton in the 90s. Its gone on forever with all races behind it. The best solution I have found is not to watch any of it.

I’m not talking specific laws but the connection between say trading standards and the police is not there for instance because it wasn’t needed.
Best I can think is I grew up when the corner shops earnt a moderate living and as buyers you trusted that if you paid tax they did too , it never crossed your mind that they didn’t . Legislation regarding shops is primarily a local authority / trading standards issue not a’legal’ one .
Now if for instance the 15 refitted shops between Midland st and Boothferry estate done in the last 3 years all selling the same goods in general seem to be able to survive , fund a shopkeeper or two , buy stock repay the fit out and pay rent , business rates power and buy stock with v modest custom for low value items then even if you prove laundering etc the shop can be shut temporarily as on the BBc then reopen . There is no law that prevents this . I think that the ‘clever’ people who exploit this have learnt to do this knowing our law is now inadequate . We have no enforcement . As I say in the 60’s , 70’s and early 80’s we generally trusted that ‘the authorities ‘ would ‘deal’ with this - they don’t , in the way they dealt with us taxpayers . As subjects I think those who felt responsible naturally trusted the law - but even more so now it appears can’t . Vapes , haircuts , cigs selling shops have all proliferated in a short time and keep coming - I would ask why the indigenous population didn’t spot the loopholes that enable it ? This may be perception or suspicion but personally I’ve been on PAYE all my life and generally in fear of authority , and I feel everyone should pay their dues to help society . There has to be criminals looking at our laws and identifying the missing pieces and the laws naivety - how can some laws be effective inthe biggest change to times that the digital age has brought ?
sorry not the best examples but if you’ve always ‘trusted’ the law yet you see the gaps being exploited then you can get angry that your tax is being used to compensate others to avoid it.
This also applies to the super rich who have the means to avoid it and can ‘negotiate’ their tax dues - WTF if I couldnt do it why can they ?

I'm not fooled. However I think you are. Why? Because you appear to have fallen for the ridiculous rhetoric / thinking that 'flag wavers' are trying to "stir up hate" (are hard right wing, fascists, Nazis, etc). Was listening yesterday to a radio discussion on COP 30 in Brazil . My mind was blown.
I'm aware of these ongoing COP conferences. I had this picture that there were probably a few dozen 'world leaders' with a small entourage, a few guest speakers, and of course the media attending. So, maybe up to a few hundred delegates in total, tops.
No, it's around 50,000 delegates. 50 friggin thousand. And the media is only a small proportion of that. What the actual f'ck!!
We (UK) send close to 500!!! Most of course funded by us, the tax paying general public.
A bit more digging, at the last one in Azerbaijan there were 65,000 delegates!!!
The radio discussion was also explaining how Amazonian land was being cleared for new roads, infrastructure (including for private jets!), hotels, facilities, etc to cater for the conference.
Each conference sees 50k+ travelling to attend, often half way around the world.
Do they not see the contradiction and irony! Do they really think we are stupid.
