It's hard to take any positives from such a dire performance. Poor in every position but in particular Kone was totally anonymous, Cook looked past it again and Nardi was just Nardi.

Very unusual for me to leave before the end, but when they said 7 minutes I thought '**** that' and headed for the station. They're a decent side, but not nearly as good as we made them look. Don't get the Esquerdinha or Cook selections and Kone just doesn't look fit. An all-round awful performance.

Was actually over for this one, my daughter preferred the nandos before the game, I had to agree with her. dunne and burrell decent, poku looked good when he came on, Madsen tried to get the ball down and play otherwise huff, puff and stupid errors...esquardinha torn a new one unfortunately

The starting line up was incorrect. The defence should've been RND, Mbengue, Morrison and Dunne. I would've also played three in midfield. I would've played Varane with Hayden and Madsen and not played Chair or Kone. From early on it was apparent that their midfield was playing through us too easily and that was an area we needed to dominate.
Esquedinha got skinned too easily for the first goal. Nardi didn't attempt to catch or clear the cross and Morrison let Hirst have a free header. Shocking defending all round to give them a soft goal. For their second Nardi moved to his right as it was taken and couldn't adjust in time to dive to his left to make the save. For their third, Esquedinha went to run an overlap which left acres of space on our left when we lost the ball. The fourth was going wide when Saito deflected it into the corner of our net. Poor defending all round today and I left after the fourth. Not something I usually do but today was shockingly bad. We need to make ourselves harder to beat and to not start both halves in the manner that we did.
Honeymoon period now over?
My wife said to me enjoy the match against the tractor boys before I left. I replied that 'they haven't won away all season, so we know how that one plays out.'

Strangely, that was a much better performance than it was at Derby and that sums us up as a team.
Tinkered with Field at left back then sticks Esquardinhia in to literally get humiliated. Kone hasn't looked like he has 20 mins in him, nevermind 90, he certainly doesn't have as much pace as all these commentators think. Too much chopping and changing is chopping and changing our performances.

Just back.
They scored at about 80 seconds which is just too annoyingly easy.
Great to see Chair in with the assist and Burrell reacting well for the equaliser.
Their first free kick was very good but the second, from pretty much the same position, should have been covered better.

I'm beginning to get a bit disillusioned with Nardi and maybe we can now understand the Walsh experiment.

Ultimately, beaten by a better team.

I think perhaps we've been punching above our weight.
However, we have a relatively new team.and an inexperienced manager.
Just aim for top half this season and push for top six next year.
How many seasons have we been saying that for

Esquerdinha completely scalped caught out again and again. No communication between him and Chair.

Nardi also should have done better.

Playing without wingers today was stupid.
Bad team selection...
And we played two players who were well below Championship level Nardi and Esquerdinha.

Add to that Cook and Vale

Seems this will be another rollercoaster season, was too much made of that 6 game unbeaten run? We had a full squad for this match for the first time in living memory and perhaps JS found that too much to handle as we were never in this game. He seems to chop and change and not always for the better. Three games in a week so no doubt it'll be tombola time again but it's worrying we look so poor on a regular basis...

Odd (but not) that many of us left the ground early for the first time in many many years.
Should we throw in our 3rd choice keeper on Wednesday?

Thought Esquerdinha looked miles off the standard needed in this league. Maybe one for the future but he shouldn’t be anywhere near the first team.Vale had a shocker yesterday too.

The most worrying thing for me is that our last 4 games read like this:
Millwall 0-1 outplayed and poor tactics
Swansea 1-0 outplayed by 10 men
Derby 0-1 outplayed outclassed and poor tactics
Ipswich 1-4 outplayed outclassed and poor tactics.
(Not to mention Coventry)
There is a message in there somewhere and it says worrying times ahead.

Overheard a fair few fans outside the ground saying that they wouldn't bother attending on Wednesday night

Having been to both Derby and yesterday, we were definitely better yesterday but the goal immediately after half time killed us

What is so frustrating is that both free kicks were entirely avoidable, precipitated by stupid fouls
Unless they bin Still we really ought to beat them. They’re in complete disarray. Players not arsed, fans fully turned on the team and club.
