I've noticed, over the years, that patterns develop on these forums that aren't apparent at first.

Those who shout the loudest are often the 'worst supporters', of SAFC, and don't really support the club.

They're always quick to rubbish the club, the area and the supporters.

They rarely start threads and prefer to be parasites on genuine threads hoping to bore people to death and derail them.

They jump on other people's threads because they don't have an original thought in their heads.

Once you realise that it's easier to ignore them because they just repeat the same thing over and over.

These forums only exist because people, who care about them, take the time and trouble to post threads ...

... and take responsibility for their content.
And it's usually those with least to contribute who post continuously about the same things. "empty vessels" and all that I suppose.

This post, brought to mind the quote, 'Life's too short to stuff a mushroom'.

Not exactly sure why... I particularly like 'chewing the fat' about football and in particular Sunderland. I am interested in other sports, politics etc. And quite enjoy hearing other views and having my own views challenged.

However there are some very dogmatic and frankly very odd posters. I got fed up with this and left forums for a while.

Then someone pointed out the 'ignore' button and thus meant i didn't have to 'stuff mushrooms'? I don't think this means I like to be in just an echo chamber, but rather its let's not waste time on fools...

I probably haven't explained this very well.

But g'son needs to go to GPs as he has been running a temperature for a few days.

So pip pip

I have all the usual suspects on ignore. The day shift and the change over night shift as well. It's bliss without them :emoticon-0102-bigsm

Nope, retired early when got made redundant AFTER working through Covid so no furlough for me.
Also there is the answer i asked for, where did I say anything about reform???, but you have to brit up in any conversation and a bad thing they have done, when it has nothing to do with what I asked. I'M not a reform supporter YET , will wait till the next election to decide who to vote for, i don't have to follow in my father's footsteps but can decide myself which party i agree with most.
Good to hear.

Live in Durham CC and have done for nearly 66 years,to tell the truth I never notice any difference no matter who’s in charge, all I do know is the council tax goes up every year, and you want anything doing be it local transport, environmental or social matters NOBODY listens to you
Fair enough. All I can say is when the Tories and liberals came into power in 2010 mainly councils in the north were hit harder with cuts than those in the south (pretty sure there was a report circulating in local government at the time which highlighted some councils in the south actually saw increases).

One of the biggest costs in local government is staff. If we value workers obviously they will get percentage increases in salary hence rises. However, adult social care is very big cost and only going higher as people live longer. Whatever government is in power hasn’t dealt with this (though Johnson said he would). There has to be cross party consensus to tackle this massive issue imho.

Totally agree re social care, it should be took away from party politics and a multi party team set up to sort it out.

two things - 1. this is a thread about NF, if you want to scream and stamp your feet about Labour MPs (why just Labour?), go and start a thread about it. 2. Without reverting to the usual diversionary tactics, if NF was your constituency MP would you be happy with him? Actually, make that three things - 3. Labour are not my 'comrades'.
Ok

Two tier yes or no?
Selling the country down the pan yes or no?
Failing UK citizens yes or no?
Was he taking back handers or taking it from behind from his billionaire backer yes or no?
Has Starmer stuck to his manifesto yes or no?
Let the conversation begin.

Smug in Boots,

‘I’m really confused with this subject so I thought I’d ignore everything but the core question. I keep seeing people say that he's the only one who has the solution to the ‘boat people’ but not even his biggest supporters can say what that is. As it’s the major part of his agenda I think it’s important to know.

I’d be ecstatic if we could stop this influx and only accept those who’ve been vetted and can benefit the UK …

… so, in a nutshell without endless video clips, digs at other politicians and whataboutery, can anyone explain Farage’s plans.

It’s a serious enquiry and not a trick question in any way.’

That’s how it started out.

I asked a simple question asking what Farage’s plan was for ‘the boats’ …

… after all this time no one posted an answer.

you are always confused that's your get out clause, you know full well what your doing stop playing the innocent

Smug cant deny he has been banned by BRB for bullying i believe a month ban, and at his pushing has had quite a few posters leave because of him, in fact anyone who answers him back normally gets the vindictive belittling posts, Yet he does do good on the number of posts he produces, and that generally would be good for the site, however the downside is all the hate he pushes out against anyone who dares to have an opinion that goes against his. Prehab anyone

Or the Tory party? Mone stole £220m from all of us. Jenerick fiddling £45m for his mates or Hancock getting contracts for his pub landlord? Or the grifter Farage who stole a living from the EU and now the people of Clacton?

Raynor needs to learn off the experts.

Plenty have benefited from the wfa which would have never happened because of the ‘bastard’ Labour Party.

arse lick? Are you 6 year old ffs? :)

Ah yes, now there's a lad Jenrick.

You mean without any proof you know the stuff that your supporters demand when they pile in mob handed, the proof your brethren always ask for, you need to check your back reply's, you know the ones where you go back and alter so you look good when you have started an argument like the time you told Rooch 3 to die then altered it, I been here long enough to see loads of your arguments

What was frightening watching the Labour lad this morning is him admitting the two army bases will cost more a year to run than the hotels do for the same amount of illegals, but and here’s the big but, the public are happy with that as we are taking them out of the hotels<doh>
He also said there are 32,000 illegals and the barracks only hold a 1000.
Way to go my son.
Saying that the rapist has now been deported so there is only 31,999 <laugh><laugh>
