What can you say?? Hopeless comes to mind, toothless , clueless?? As soon as we come up against a team which fights, competes, bullies, and never lets up, we revert to Maresca Mogodon style. Out goes all ambition, attacking intent, everything goes into slow motion. Then we cave in, lose concentration, and look like what we are, a badly coached bunch of individuals with skill but no teamwork. We are now 9th, with the same points as last year. So much for improvement and learning. Maresca is a one trick pony and needs to go. the only time we look good is when we ignore his style and play our natural game. PSG and Liverpool come to mind.
Yes memories of the mid 70’s and early 90’s come flooding back especially when you consider the ineptitude at the back. The game at Forest served a warning that were not far away from a hiding should we come up against a competent forward line; I’m afraid this is what we get when a bunch of enthusiastic amateurs whose allegiance is to their back pocket and to their shareholders- similarities at what happened at Old Trafford. There it is no leadership, no spine……no point.
Spot on, Boehleys' Clown Show has destroyed the heart of the Club. I think in the near future, the good players we need and want to buy will not come to us, and the good ones we have will want to leave. The crazy thing is a decent Manager would have even this Team competing for top 4 in 3 months, but they stick to Maresca and see his lack of quality week after week.
Yeah he really has to go. Halfway through his second season and we are sat in 9th. Roman would have sent his arse packing by now, for sure.
Rumours starting that Bournemouth manager is being lined up to replace Maresca. While they’re at it they might look at replacing our Football directors. They need to do an IQ test on young players to screen out dopes like Delap and Jackson, no a brain cell between the two of them.
