    Have to say that was my thought exactly about Rooney. Why on earth the BBC thinks he has any relevance anymore I don’t know

    Reading & Peterborough fired their managers at the weekend, two vacancies that will quickly be filled.

    Chris Powell has been at Luton for two weeks now, so must be due a move.

    Not a sacking exactly, but Rodgers has left Celtic. Martin O'Neil has stepped in as interim gaffer.

    Presumably if Rodgers has resigned he won't get a fat undeserved pay off.
