He looks woeful, doesn’t really put much effort in what so ever. A knackered 75 minute Joseph looks more effective.
Totally wrong IMO , his touch and brain is way ahead of Joseph, he chases and tries to bring other players in - do you see Joseph do that as much ? His failing like Joseph is lack of pace and at the moment both don’t get into the 6 yd box when balls are delivered . Remember Joseph has now played a good number of games and today about 75 mins leaving Destan to be effective in 15 .

Joseph is constantly chasing that’s literally his game. He does the work of two players, he wins the ball up the pitch all the time. His finishing is fairly poor, and he’s not the positioning or strength of Mcburnie but Destan has shown nothing, granted he’s had limited minutes.

Got to disagree there. Think Joseph has the brain he gets himself well in the game and knows what to do. He just doesn’t have the skill on the ball, the speed or the size and strength to really trouble defenders at this level so struggles to make things happen.

Jury will be out on Destan for a long time yet. He can’t be written off. He’s hardly played and it’s often a struggle for most players moving countries, new culture, much more intense football on the pitch. It’s a lot to take in your stride and expect to be at the top of your game.

It's fair to say the week turned out better than expected, 7 points out of 9 is a good return. Disappointing to concede in injury time, but if we had drawn with Leicester and beat Charlton, it would probably feel different.

I guess the biggest worry now is the injury list, I can see them delaying Crook's surgery, if he can play on, until Lunny is back.

On the game, a typical 3rd game of the week type of affair, not a classic, but apart from the first 10 minutes when Campbell should have scored one or even two goals, we handled the game pretty comfortably until their equaliser.

Ajayi/Hughes and Giles had good games, as did Amir, Gelhardt and Slater. Joseph put a shift in as per normal, Crooksy didn't have one of his best games IMO.

Onto Norwich, not in the best of form, but still a tough place to go. If Ndala is fit probably him on the left, Gelhardt on the right and Joseph or Oli if fit up top.

Bit of a reality check today... we should be very happy to finish mid table.. I listened to Sergeis interview and he said its not training thats creating all these injuries. Unfortunately it's not a one season thing ... to throw someone on like Millar today after doing more minutes than he should on Tuesday was IMO pure bad management. It was nithering in the wind and no lessons have been learnt from what happened to Belloumi. I know you want to win the game but get Ndala on!!!! I think concentration went down when he went off...Seems also that Crooks has torn a pectoral muscle which requires surgery.

7 points from 9 in 8 days isn't a reality check.

Especially with a depleted squad.

Yes, injuries are the worry.

But I'm a lot less concerned about that than under previous coaches 'cos he seems to be getting a tune out of the second string.

Great start to the season. Now let's hope we can get players fit, and keep players fit.

blokes a shift merchant and he is part of the machine but it’s apparent without McB he will never be a frontline striker in this division and it must air on the side of sympathy when people are so complimentary about him because like you said he doesn’t have “skill on the ball size or strength”…

Too many games in a short period must have an impact on recovery times. Players are playing with knocks and niggles. Muscles and ligs haven’t recovered fully. Got to be the major cause of all the injuries w3 see these days.

The Miller one was strange. He looked knackered when he ran on the pitch, probably more to do with the birth of his child the day before than Tuesday night. Sometimes I think medical staff and management team needs to be a bit more savvy.

Although it’s easy to say in hindsight, maybe leaving him out of the squad would have stopped anyone clambering for him to come on and change the game. It did feel like we were waiting to concede so we could bring a centre half on and go back to 433. Those who have had children all know what ‘baby brain’ is like.

Like I said easy to say in hindsight. The Mcburnie one worries me. Hopefully we are just saving him for Xmas run in. But Jak said he’s not even training I don’t think.

I know they get good money and many of us would love to have been professionals but sometimes I think we have got to look after our players a bit better than we do. Everything is crammed into short intense periods of play to accommodate this cup and that international. Is just not good for the players involved.

All I know is, we are not getting relegated.

I do think though that the championship (playoffs at least) is wide open for anyone to have a go at this season. Other than coventry and maybe boro, i dont really see any other stand outs.

Injuries may scupper us. But if we can get them back and keep them fit, who knows.

2 away games to come, 4 points would be awesome.

Joseph does not lack pace…

I agree , would have been disappointing to see him not involved , but would have been an easy out with the childbirth to say 90 minutes Tuesday night combined with emotion of that he needs a day off ready for next week . Seemed like it would happen sooner or later anyway , I’ve got first 2 weeks of Feb down for probable Matazo hamstring injury
