Well played to Brentford, thought they were superb and deserved their rewards

 

They were excellent but clung on rather than killing us off.

I do like to see a.good club with happy fans there

The team just went 5 up and hoofed it there. Thats reality. In the end the two cbs were up there getting hoofed at.

 

Ach well. Plenty of time for them to get their bloody heads together and sort it out.

Get back to basics....and if that means Kerkez and Wirtz see the bench for a while . That would be good for them and team... Play them in the league cup with more manly 16 year olds... Toughen then up.

Go back to a sensible midfield and forward set up.

 

Bradley knows Slot doesn't want him. He played a blinder for NI there. Looked like when he first came through for Klopps. Driving that side of pitch, aggressive.... Captains performance.... Then he comes back and knows if the tea lady didn't demand performance bonuses she'd be on before him

 

I think Robertson was worse than kerekz.

I think vvd is half the issue with kerkez as he seems to think he cant work with him.

For me if you cant play macallister and gravenberch is injured then you play endo.

Salah needs to get his head out of his arse and start working. He played well v atletico for 60mins and hasn't been working since

Gakpo needs a massive kick up the arse. He was swanning about and never put a foot in today.

He's too deep 90% of the time but then let's thr ball past him.and leaves it to kerkez. I saw at least 3 times he just left a 2 v 1 amd wasnt arsed getting in there..

 

He needs to ignore slot then and just go forward. Everything is negative.

If you know you'll be hauled on 60 anyway just go.

I agree... Should be the attitude of all the "non" slot players... Worst case you get sold to someone decent.

But humans are humans... Not a criticism just an observation it must be hard to go from a very emotive manager to more of a cold fish.

Gerrard had issues with Benitez with that... Maybe they are all missing their daily hugs

imo shouldn't have them slack off at the end of last season, play to the end then celebrate in the summer. Got them into bad habits

 

The frustrating thing is he was very good at working games out last season, adjusting and sending players on that made a real difference time and time again - it gave us that huge lead in the new year.

We just look absolutely lost right now and it seems desperate to me, I don’t know how many times you can waste Szob by needlessly sticking him at RB. He was genuinely needed for that role once this season vs Arsenal - he did a great job, get over it!

We don’t seem anywhere near sharp and fit enough, and that’s such a huge problem in the prem. Then when you’re on your arse like we are, the likes of Brentford fancy it and go for you. Gonna be a long season

 

True that when he played around with stuff at the end of the session, we were guff. Much like now.

 

I’m in the ‘it will take time’ camp.

I’m also in the ‘that’s totally unacceptable’ camp

the problem is that I can’t see it changing at all. Slot doesn’t seem to be able to figure out what’s wrong. I think that losing his right hand man and bringing in GvB has failed badly; we look poorly organised, the players look anxious, like they don’t know what to do, the press is really poor and we don’t look fit.

I am genuinely concerned.

 

Unfortunately, I think this is the problem. The reason behind this is also obvious imo

 

Whatever we think, and I agree we are not fit enough and not physical enough, I am sure FSB will be looking at options already. They have just invested £450 m in a club that were champions last season, now it’s a total mess. They are probably finding it hard to understand, but it is now a crisis and I can’t see them sitting in their hands for too long

 

The keepers kicking was fine when they passed it to the foot he actually kicks with. The defence keeps giving it to the wrong side.

I thought kerkez kept trying but again is the victim of some.slot ideas. Same as bradley. Kerkez is working hard, bradley's confidence is shot.

Robertson came on and did nothing, why? Same issues kerkez faces every game.

Not sure what the successor to the KGB has to do with this?

 

That's not just when they had to the keeper, almost every pass made (especially when being pressed) is to the wrong side of the receiving player. Lost count of the numbers if times it was passed to one of the FBs on the wrong side; it meant the fullback has to go back to the keeper as they had no other option.
