I assume Azaz will be one of the two. But it does feel like rather than Still wanting to bring Azaz into the XI, he's been somewhat forced into it due to the lack of Downes and Jander. If either had been available, I do wonder if Azaz might have still been on the bench again.

Azaz needs to be getting possession in good areas and be our quarterback with others providing for him. It's like playing Smallbone deeper with defensive responsiblities before. We'll see how it goes though.

People on here have been crying out to drop a dm so circumstances have dropped this into Will’s lap. 3 cbs so Edwards needs to provide the additional steel coming into the centre to help Charles. Lets see how it goes against a supposedly weaker team. If not happening he is going to need to also shed a centre back to get Robinson or a”striker” on
Why do successive managers ignore central midfield?
Charles won’t be able to do it on his own, no matter how bad Blackburn are. That’s a disaster waiting to happen imo.
