Football is or should be a shared passion. If you have a club your allegiance should be to club then your fellow fans. We have seen how the club takes us for granted - I accept that. We have seen how footballers like Neville despise us. Again I find him an odious little turd so I just ignore him. What I cannot ignore is ‘our super fans’ that talk down, condescend and patronise other fans with elitism, snobbery and faux intellectual postings. And when they are challenged they run to teacher.

Going upto Birmingham for the 1-0 Lookman game he wanted to meet up and discuss all things Charlton. I gave him train times etc and he was nowhere to be seen.
Upto 2016 for 20 seasons I went to 80% of games home and away, did not see him once at an away game.
He does not understand the views of an away fan, an 18 hours day and spunking £200. All he does is have a coffee and a digestive then switch the laptop off after two hours.

I have several indelible memories of my 48 years as a Charlton regular.
Promotions and relegations, and the memory of Seriously Red walking to the stage in a packed Woolwich Town Hall in that f ucking Crombie, and then delivering a speech that was so boring he sent 500 people to sleep with an hypnosis routine that Paul McKenna would have been proud of.
