I’m really relaxed about this season.

Firstly, because we have a really young team, and we won’t need to sell anyone next summer, so we will be better next season.

Secondly, there will be at least three or four periods this season where we go on 4-game winning streaks, and that alone will separate us from the mid table lot.

    Just gonna enjoy the rollercoaster.

If you’d asked me in June I wouldve expected to have more points at this stage, but the way the window panned out (can blame SR for that if you want) I am not suprised by our start.

Ultimately we’re what like 6 points of second? Very easily recoverable. There were definitely green shoots and, whilst I still maintain the high press won’t work consistently in this division, it was effective today. Think most important thing over the next few games is to get some goals for Stewart, Azaz and Downs, really need to be scoring more and I think that’s a confidence thing

McCarthy just in front for me. Neither are spectacular, but who would you trust more to help close out a 1-0 lead? I don’t see Baz getting us many/any points.

Also some people are saying “play Baz he will improve, he’s young”. Yeah you can’t bank on that.

Baz wouldn't have made the error McCarthy did against Liverpool. He might have remembered he had hands when trying to save the goal today, but it was a tough save regardless. For me, I've yet to see Gav drop a clanger this season like McCarthy did vs Liverpool.

The goals we conceded vs Hull were due to outfield player mistakes in dangerous areas, and then conceding on the break.

No he probably wouldn’t have. But he also wouldn’t have made the two great saves that McCarthy made to keep it at 0-0

The first save was good - even though it was a poor shot - but the second was nothing special!

Either way I don’t see Baz keeping both out. Just my opinion.

I voted McCarthy, who is the best of our choices right now. I am hoping AM cuts out the brain fart mistakes with trying to be too clever, and just kick it long when needed.

Feels like Alex has settled this debate somewhat with recent performances?

He's played really well, and absolurely earned his shirt. We'd have lost yesterday without him. Definitely the better option for now.

However, its not sustainable long term, and the fact he's our number 1 again is shocking, really, bearing in mind he was essentially replaced over 3 years ago.

Keeper has to be (alongside a striker) the most important transfer over the next 12 months.

I was very surprised that Bazunu got so many votes. I'd really like to think that is McCarthy fixed in ahead of Bazunu now.

Neither of them are good enough - I don't like either. But McCarthy is the better shot stopper by some distance, which is why I have him ahead of Bazunu.

The best outcome - though probably highly unrealistic - is that Ramsdale's lack of gametime could result in his loan being terminated in January. But I suspect that's wishful thinking.

I thought it was weird Bazunu was dropped at the time as he was doing ok. Maybe whatever was happening at training made Will believe Alex was the better option. Tbf to him he's been good since he's come back in and long may it continue

    Bazunu is atrocious

Can’t believe people voted for him over macca. We’d have lost comfortably yesterday with Baz in goal
