Just spoke with Neil Warnock
Spoke two or three times with Steve over the years.
Would have loved the job
Has great respect for city’s fans and he feels we have the same for him
Wanted to sign Twine.
The Lansdown suite is opened at both ends as really busy event.

<cheers>
good effort
I would have loved him as our Manager when he was a younger man

Was a brilliant night well worth it

One thing i forgot to mention he said he thought he may have been to strong for Steve-however he did say he thought they could have worked well together.

I think he was a cocky, mouthy, flamboyant git and bigheaded with it but there is no denying his record proves he had every reason to be, I always had a very high regard for him, I don't think Lansdown would ever have employed him. I wish him well and good luck in his retirement.

My personal preference for managers of his generation would be a Sir Alec or Bobby Robson type but I also like L.S.Lowry art and Rock n' Roll, so what do I know.

no doubt he would have gotten us promoted,then found his level and either seen us relegated or been sacked, he just could not handle the premiereship,

See what your saying but the huge parachute payments that followed relegation could well of seen us return.
Who knows we could have been one of those 'bounce' clubs.......better to have loved......than not loved at all ?
It’s a shame that we’ll never know, but I agree we could have been a bounce club like WBA, Sheffield United, Norwich etc

People see Warnock as a god because he gets clubs promoted. No one looks at the clubs after he’s got them there and how long for them to recover.

Great motivator, but uses ageing warhorses to get there meaning they have to buy big when there and fail then left with issues.
