Got through for Take That tickets in about ten mins earlier, which was quite refreshing.......for the Mrs obviously.....
decided not too in the end, i just cant bring myself to pay over 150 quid, which seems to be the norm now, i guess im just not ever attending a concert again.
unless its Paul Heaton , who still only charges about 40
Wellers are usually reasonable too

I know what you mean
Even some covers bands are charging 30 and 40 quid

There were some good local bands doing the rounds back then, such as The Grip, All Mod Cons, etc. Don't seem to see as many these days. I guess some of the venues have gone such as Piper, King Billy, Sportsman.

Oh yes, and when the barmaid says "that will be £6 sir", don't embarrass yourself and say "no i only wanted one pint?" :emoticon-0100-smile

Whilst holding out a fiver, and presuming there will be change.

Al out of All Mod Cons plays in influential factor now.
Highway always has bands on Friday and Saturday
Go see low flying crow an old mate plays in the band and the singers fit as
It’s a woman in case you’re wondering

6.45 a pint in first pub , 645 English pence!! Then the bus driver allegedly hit somebody down Bev Road, so had to stop bus and wait for a supervisor . Ended up walking Bev Road to Cott . Staying home in future

Sounds like quite a night! I tend to do mainly afternoon drinking these days, pubs are still busy and the clientele are all of a certain age. I don't miss the days when you couldn't get a bus or taxi home at the end of the night and ended up walking home. The beer jacket tends to stop working after about an hour walking :emoticon-0100-smile

Could this finally be a turning point for ticket sales? Cant believe (and without wanting to turn this political) no prospective UK government has run with this as a policy. It would be such an easy vote winner to clamp down on ticket sales.

I don't think it's too high on any high ranking politicians 'to-do' list?

It's not as if the prominent ones need to pay...

No but it would surely be a pretty easy and popular policy that a lot of people will support and wouldn’t upset anybody.

Other than Ticketmaster shareholders and Chinese and Indian programmers.
