Class second half. Love this team and the relentless work rate. Not good for the heart though is it!

Can’t wait for next week, I doubt there will be a game this season we’re not in and competing to the end

Last time I was at Forest away was in the Jim Baxter era and we lost 1-5.
Bit of an upturn in the club these days.....I'm glad I've hung around to witness it.

I was working in the smoke at the time but remember the result.
We have seen some ups and downs since then.
One good thing I got from working in London for a couple of years was being at the game at Wembley when Jim Baxter absolutely destroyed England, he was playing for Sunderland at the time IIRC

I’m ashamed to say but when RLB was appointed I was so underwhelmed. I thought the leadership team were looking for a cheap option. Shows what I know and what a time to be a Sunderland supporter, Love watching this team FTM

I don't think I thought we'd gone for the cheap option but with the length of time it took and his low profile I definitely assumed he was far from first choice. Combined with getting his last team relegated and I was far from convinced.

Shows how little we know compared to the people who run the club, he's an absolute gem.

It's the little things that matter a lot that Regis gets right. When we made subs in the second half, Hume and Talbi both moved over from the right to the left at the same time, keeping the familiarity of having each other in front or behind one another. This helped us keep cohesion and the overall changes didn't effect our shape as much as it could have.

In the past, multiple subs, 3+ have made the side feel shapeless and disjointed. Now it feels like every addition knows exactly why they've been brought on the pitch, and know what they have to do for the good of the team.

There's no egos. Everyone works as a collective for the good of the team. I absolutely love this side.

What a result. We're a proper team with proper players.

The free kick for the goal ... they got away with at least 2 dives before then which they should've got booked for. I think the ref had, had enough. It was a dive, **** off mate.

    Roefs - 50 mill
    Mukiele - 35 mill
    Alderete - 25 mill
    Sadiki - 50 mill

Honestly, how have we cracked these lot? For about 50 mill...

    Their values are insane.

Granit Xhaka though, is just...I mean I used to love and rate Cattermole when he was here for the way he lead us, this fella is sublime. Little things that you see and take for granted like simple touches to the side or the way he uses his body and harasses opposition players. He takes the game by the scruff, hes a born captain.

The debate about the dive for the goal is ridiculous, if Hume did catch him anywhere it was very lightly on the foot, he flings himself down clutching his leg. Meaning he's clearly dived and that's a yellow card.

I don't know why anybody is confused about it.

Just home now and what a fabulous performance it was. Every single one of them worked their bollocks off all game. Goalkeeper fantastic the 2 centre half's awesome along with Hume, xhaka superb,. We have a team that plays and works for each other. Shout out to Rigg and Wilson who never stopped running. It's a pleasure to watch and refreshing to see players so united and together. Can't wait for Manchester next week. Sorry I didn't see you @Smug in Boots was with the others but just couldn't see you. Mind well done Notts County for an excellent venue @ the nest. What a day. Haway the lads and Haway Team Europe.
