At the end of the day, as much as we bicker on here i think most people agree that the immigration issue needs sorting out. Even if we disagree on how much of a problem it is or what needs to be done to address it. What I will say though, is that I think there’s a hysteria that’s being deliberately driven on this issue and it is for a purpose, partly to distract us from the people who rob this county blind everyday of the year by avoiding their tax. And also it will be used to usher in digital ID cards
Trouble is mate, all the politicians at the top are self serving right the way round the world, wherever you look you find one. All millionaires as well. I've never really understood why any millionaire would want to be a MP or PM, other than for selfish reasons. Whenever the poor get attacked first you know it's going to be a problem. And that horrid Tory leader is the worst of the bunch in this country, she is god damn awful and needs removing for some of her rhetoric.
Kemi Badenoch is like the female equivalent of Tommy Robinson to me. Everytime I see her on the news my ears and brain are like can someone stop her talking, and need to mute the sound until she's gone.
I agree. And unfortunately politics has been hijacked by people who are either self serving or bought for by big corporations. So there is a vested interest to keep the status quo and favourable conditions for the already wealthy. I know a lot of people on here didn’t like him, but the one Politician who would have actually put working people first and ended the gravy train for the rich would have been Corbyn. And for that reason, they made sure he never got to No10
I think he’s amply demonstrated since, notably in the last few weeks, what a clueless old **** he is. Not that some of his intentions weren’t honourable but he’s genuinely a bit thick.
Yes. He didn’t lose to her though and she was binned off after about three hours. Losing to Johnson in the circumstances was understandable but the margin of defeat wasn’t. Losing to May who even the right wing media couldn’t be arsed with was incompetence.
She would have to whack him a lot harder and lower for him to notice, but then again he is french so he might think it was foreplay
What I don’t understand, is how come immigration is suddenly the only political issue anyone wants to talk about. Does no one care anymore about the NHS, education, flatlining wages, the housing crisis? Does anyone really think immigration is the root cause of any of those problems? Because it really isn’t, and cutting or even completely stopping immigration is not going to solve them; so anyone counting on Reform to improve their quality of life in any way whatsoever, is going to be severely disappointed.
As for flattening wages in this country, Labour put the minimum wage up also employer contributions, which resulted in prices rises in the shops and areas of hospitality closing or near breaking point. We seem to forget that increasing the minimum wage or contributions, has a knock on effect that makes prices higher for the minions, profits for share holders will always remain the same or higher and the government will do nowt about that.
I was listening to the news which is showing the Charlie Kirk funeral/event represented by Vance at the mo, and Trump at some point I guess. They said this is the first time the president of the United States and the vice president have attended a funeral for someone who is not a politician (or words to that affect). So I thought this cannot be true because what about Martin Luther King jr, who was an activist albeit not formally affiliated to any political party. It appears the vice president did go to MLK's funeral but the president could not attend because of the Vietnam war and it would have invoked protests - his funeral was also attended by representatives of both parties. Sometimes detail is important. Not suggesting Charlie Kirk is in anyway as important as MLK, because in my subjective opinion he wasn't. Edit: 'Memorial service'...I'll get it right eventually lol
