The first time Arne Slot is going to win five games in a row in the league since he became Liverpool manager.
I wouldn’t say that we were lucky to have won it. I think the game was deservedly won in the first half. The second half was always going to be hard, given the fixtures that we had.
I never knew that Ryan Gravenberch is that good especially when he was a squad player under Jurgen Klopp. Well done Ryan Gravenberch.
Agreed, it’s the derby too and Everton actually aren’t half bad (compared to the last 10 years anyway). Positives for me was there wasn’t any panic as such, thought we defended really well and got our positioning spot on
It's not just the new players, the older players are still finding their feet too. TBF, they could still be grieving, Jota's passing wasn't that long ago.
I did say this the other day but I know you don’t read back I absolutely feel it has had an effect on Mo But we shall see
Meh - refs get things wrong all the time, but there wasn't anything he could point to today that significantly influenced the outcome.
A 50/50 throw went our way near the end and that’s basically why they didn’t get something out of the game apparently
Twice they got a throw in that should have been ours and Grealish taking the ball over the line then kicking it at Bradley and trying to claim a corner. At least he clapped the ref for making the right decision. Anyone notice Tarkowski hacking Ekitike down as the ball sailed into the net?
To be fair to Darren England, he did above average in the game I think Everton supporters are not pleased with him.
I was surprised that he let the game flow early on. He did remember in the second half that he had cards in his pocket.
Bradley really good today, there were times when Grealish was getting the better of him but he never panicked or lost his head and stuck to his task.
