I didn't know what it was Jimmy Kimmel was supposed to have said to get himself taken off air. So I went and googled it today, and found in a copy of The Guardian his words quoted - now I'm not into speaking ill of anyone dead and I certainly do not agree with engaging in tit for tat point scoring over it, but having read his comments I thought personally he hadn't said anything wrong. He made a political statement about the Republicans, he never said anything detriment of Charlie Kirk or his family, so it's a lot noise over ****ing nothing. I did hear in the newpaper reviews yesterday, that it was to do with ratings and he should have been taken off air a long time ago, and this is the trouble everyone wants to out do everyone else and it gets to the stage of where you don't know what to believe anymore, but my own personal assessment of that is it's a bit of a coincidence to be taken off air now, and if we are to engage in free speech it shouldn't have happened.
It's a worrying development. The Trump administration didn't like what Jimmy Kimmel said and they have now used the State apparatus to shut down free speech that they don't agree with. Trump appointed a bloke called Brendan Carr to the Federal communications commission, which is a bit like Ofcom here. He should be an independent and non partisan regulator for the media, but he basically told the broadcasters 'We can do this the easy way or the hard way' which translated as you either take down content we don't like or we'll shut you down. And Trump is now threatening to take away the licences of broadcasters who he feels are negative towards him. It has all the hallmarks of a dictator basically having ultimate control over the messages that the public receive.
The UK and Europe are all becoming state controlled tbph, you just need to look a bit closer around you. If you showed me a glimse of the future when I was 16 years old it would have probably shocked me to see what I see today. I don't like what I see today, in fact I hate it but I know there is nothing I can do about it, so I have to accept it. We always assume the powers that be have our best interests at heart, they don't it's all about control. The only difference is Trump is open about it, he is in your face. If Trump was our Prime Minister he'd be saying it's ok, I'll be able to snoop into all your bank accounts from April next year, and there is **** all you can do about, instead we have silence, now tell me which one is worse.
Other examples of control in the UK, well covid was probably the biggest one, under the Tories, also we probably have more CCTV and ANPR cameras than any other country in the world. Follow all that up with access to people's oversea travel details, future access to bank accounts (from April 2026), probably future identity cards, everything slowly becoming digital, leaving a foot print to your whole life. I can't really think of much else than it being a dictatorship, with controls as well on the things we enjoy. Oh and not forgetting none of the political parties are worth voting for, it's just a game we play every four years. Protests for people are becoming harder and harder with restrictions, designated routes and what you can and can't say. The list is just endless, I could be typing this for hours lol.
It’s hard to argue against govt overreach and more surveillance in our lives. I’m not sure we’ve seen a PM ever directly threaten to shut down the media for broadcasting negative opinions about them though. But I agree with the overall sentiment that our lives are more and more controlled and surveilled by govt (or govt contracted agencies) I also think the clamour over immigration. (Which I agree is an issue that needs managing) will usher in digital ID, as it will be used as leverage to say ‘we can’t have people here who we know nothing about’ so therefore everybody will require digital ID
Y'all be wanting to join me in my rock cave up on the moors eating berries and foraged moss, when Big brother is deciding whether you've earned enough social credits to be allowed to go to the supermarket
But we've been telling governments for ages, all parties, that you are letting people in that we know nothing about, many having destroyed documents, it wasn't like they weren't warned and maybe should have listened instead of people dishing out the racist narratives. It's sometimes as though they are purposely letting things happen, so they can bring in the restrictions. I'm sure they do it deliberately, cause chaos so we can bring in controls. It's like the NHS that's like a purposely sabotaged system at times, to bring in private measures. We know the future plans will also be to get rid of state pension, everything this country was built on is being destroyed and normally for self serving politicians. I can't undestand why millionaires like Sunak and Starmer want to run a country, unless there is something in it for them, I certainly don't believe they are doing it for the heart of the nation. Instead of being a total cock like Trump, they tart it all up with fancy words and ideas.
I was listening to that von der leyen the other day, yapping on about the defence of Ukraine, when it suddenly dawned on me that you are supposed to be a trading market, what the **** has the military operations got to do with you. Anyway, I'll stop moaning now.
It's happened here too on some level. The government wrote a letter to youtube demanding they de-monitise Russel brands channel because he was exposing them on various issues. YouTube told them to get ****ed I believe.
So you understand the mass invasion of Europe with the middle easts pond scum is by design then. Nice to have you on board finally mate
Oh and pinkie must of missed all the clips I've posted of police going to knock on doors about social media posts. On government orders. But that's not Trump so never mind eh Hmmm
Oh and the bbc the other day mentioning trumps meeting with the king and focusing on his epstien link's while completely not mentioning the kings own brothers links and his mother the queen paying 12m to keep him out of court ..... . The government may not be silencing the bbc but they sure are using them to peddle whatever propaganda they deem necessary.
Mass invasion it ain't though bro and this is where you're being played. The numbers of people in migrant hotels is 30k. Out of a population of 70m That's about 0.4% of the population. Even less of a percentage is the billionaires in the UK, but who have far more of an impact on your life that Ahmed from Syria. They also control the social media channels that are feeding you the hysteria about Ahmed, so that you look over there and not at what they are doing.
It's a pity they couldn't find 30k hotel spaces for our homeless and ex forces they've let to rot. But that's another story.
