Being offensive isn't an offence. Unlikely to be racial or homophobic? so not much to be done if it was just name calling.

    True. If they are fair.

The point being some refs decide they they belong in the 80s when thry get to this gsme.

Id genuinely rather that Taylor than have England here. And they says a lot.

People can make the game 100mph but with a kick at the player at the 3nd rather than any interest in the ball or passing or ball retention. That's easy. Anyone can do it.

If we look at the newcastle game we all saw the score minute 1 almost. They were let away with a deliberate high boot and the thing spiralled form there until var forced the ref to reverse a bad yellow for a really late rake of the leg.

The second we saw they assigned Simon "loves spurs" hooper we all saw it coming.

England is as bad if not worse.

When someone gets seriously injured then refs are questioned but they are not questioned half enough imo.

    No idea.

It was said to be 90mins of abuse in Simeone's own words so if stewarding and officials did nothing then who knows what it was.

The sad thing is those are the most expensive tickets so really they ought to know better.

There's a large entitled attitude these days.

I understand the sentiment to uefa following the Paris final, but its dealt with.

Booing things and cat calling over anthems was never our way in days gone by. I really dont like it.

Depends on what words used as you could get quite descriptive with choice words. Then it could be verbal assault...that said the simeone groin two handed gesture back in the previous games didn't exactly endear him to us.

Don't be too quick to judge. Videos online and comments from people in the surrounding area of one of the Atletico coaches spitting at one of our fans. What ensued was what was seen on screen ending up with Simeone ejected.

The fan, who did indeed identify himself on social media, is known, apparently, for expletive filled rants and yesterday was no different as he aimed a few at Simeone leading to the assistant coach's action.

Unless it's words aimed with specificity at 'protected groups' then it's not an offence. As I just posted above, the fan involved and those around him confirmed it was generic expletives.

So you could in theory stand behind someone call them a 'coño' the whole match and its fair game? Interesting.

I don't know what he's supposedly said but I've seen the footage and it's embarrassing. Roughly a 50yr old fat bloke jumping around like a spoilt child flipping his fingers at every opportunity <doh>

Just looked that word up, it never appeared in A level Spanish class. It's not something I would ever do and I'm not advocating for it but it's not an offence to be offensive, as I said earlier. When you go to the match are you surrounded by enthusiastic fans shouting 'that's simply not cricket old chap' with not an F word in hearing distance? :bandit:

He's 30. <whistle> Did you see his own video explaining what happened and the other video of him being spat at?

Surely the club should just turf him out.

He's in the most expensive seats in ga so should know better and honestly the sense of entitlement is something I have no issue with the club dealing with

Those round him either love it or hate it so theres every chance they would be happy the seat gets sold to the next person in the long queue who will appreciate it more.

If you have to turf out every fan for swearing, the ground would be half empty. I hate swearing, as everyone on here knows but I'm at a loss to see why a fan flipping V's and telling the most disliked football manager to 'f off' needs throwing out especially after being spit at.

Simeone is deliberately over enthusiastic in front of our fans, flipping V's himself and holding his crotch in their direction in his celebrations. Last night he got some back.

There's a clear line imo around the opponents bench that fans in England generally are very fortunate to get thst close.

The fans there should know.in no uncertain terms the stewards and cops will be on them

I'd prefer fans to not act the goat at all but the heat of the moment and the occasion and, in this case, the character and behaviour of the particular manager involved, saw some fans unable to hold back. As long as there are no racial slurs or other 'group related' slurs used, I'm really not concerned.
