How are Labour doing after their first 12 months

I think the far-left and the far-right are as bad as one another, both misusing social media to their own means Piskie is defo far-left because I'd noted some of his stuff in the past had come from the Socialist worker, I'm sure he's even admitted to being up for a fight against the National Front in the 70's.

Both the far-left and far-right subscribe to the use of violence. It's like yesterday, why do we allow two marches at the same time, because everyone knows they are spoiling for a fight and it's the cops stuck in the middle.

I'd noted again the other day Piskie had another pop at Sucky even though he's rarely been on recently. Also Piskie has made several attempts to bring religion into the topic, despite no one on here referring to religion. It's like him referring to Jesus as a Paletinian, he's doing it to antagonise it's a sly way of having a pop at Christianity or the Jews.

He enjoys creating division. He's as bad as the people he's complaining about. He is the Katy Hopkins of not606.

Jesus was Palestinian.

Thems the facts

You spent a day on social media writing bile about a man you have never met that had been assassinated. You have lived in several mulitcultural areas and left them behind for a better life and brought your daughter up in the least multicultural part of the UK.

What was bile ?

It can’t even be debated tbf. It’s just a fact.

Both sides use violence. It’s not something I subscribe to. As soon as you kick off I think you lose the moral high ground and just become another thug, no matter what your political beliefs are

No. I've never joined any march or fought anyone regarding their beliefs. It's just thuggery whatever side engages in it.

I'm not sure what the opposing protest were doing yesterday, it just incites trouble for the old bill, as though they aint already got their work cut out.

****s the lot of them (anyone engaging in fighting that is).

well i thought it was worth protesting against people who think the likes of me are "useless eaters"

I don't even know what that means, had to google it. I just get ****ed off with both sides from an extremist perspective.

not sure me sitting on the High St pavement booing a bunch of neanderthals led by a bloke who had only arrived in the UK about 5 months earlier counts as extremism .<laugh>

I didn't say you were an extremist. You engaged in a peaceful protest, I'm pleased it made you feel empowered lol

I probably know more about the far right from the left than any other source, but not from an informative sense.

I tell you what did surprise me yesterday was the number that joined that march, and I'm just looking at them thinking, ****ing hell they are all going to be voting Farage, and this is why I say people need to tone down the rhetoric, because all it does is enpower them even more.

I think people are angry at the moment and the reason for that is the Tories promised to do something about migration and didn't, Labour pretty much promised the same and have hit the same hurdles, so now we got Farage chancing his luck - and me personally, I've given up on the lot of them.

If you don't engage in talking to the concerned and listening to their views without labelling them racist, then they will seek out an extreme cause. I'm not suggesting listening to thugs and racists, but you need to listen and understand why you were voted in in the first place.

I'd be surprised if anyone would go to a voting station tomorrow if this country was holding an election. I'm not blaming Labour for that, I'm merely not seeing light at the end of the tunnel to make those protestors yesterday feel reassured that the answer is round the corner and it's not Farage.

Supposed to be the one in one out starting next week, so hope yet, we'll see.

I was just a kid when people marched against the National Front in Lewisham. But yeah basically what you said.

I think they should let people have their marches more regularly tbh. If people want to come out and wave flags and get together with other like mined people, then I think it's better that they do that and let off some steam, feel like they are being heard etc. Instead of sitting at home on social media listening to ****s who are telling them that the Caliphate are coming to steal their daughters.

I'd like to see Muslims, Hindus, Sikhs and people of Caribbean descent encouraged to attend too. All the different colours that the UK is, to show how united this Kingdom actually is.

Lol, gotta love the irony of people who don't like immigrants buying immigrant food.

But I'm serious about what I say. Instead of the likes of Katie Hopkins, Ant Middleton and that dickhead Lawrence Fox being invited to speak and spread their divisive nonsense, let's see Imam's from the Mosques, the Hindu and Sikh leaders, Pastors from Black churches all invited to speak about how this country is a home to all of us. And how if we stand united, we can defeat the people who want to sow hate.

That would be a real test of the claim to 'Unite the Kingdom'
They do, but if it's really an attempt to unite the kingdom, then they would invite voices from people who represent all parts of this nation, not just the anti-immigrant crew.
I dont think the terrorist sympathisers here would want tomneh down at one of thier marches tbh
