I listened to all three, in reverse order. Liked all three tbph, better than the **** Fosse puts up lol. Number one was my favourite, more the instrumental. Been looking at some EDM/Techno mix recently and that would fit in nicely. I actually felt it was at it's best last third of the track....just stick it on repeat and I'm happy.
How very dare you! ... ... I'll raise you a tune written by Declan McManus, sung by God ... and with some bloke called Springsteen happy to play supporting guitar...
I thought oh no when I saw this other day. I came back tonight and thought oh no. I listened to it tonight and thought the same again.
I didn't say that... There is just a certain style of singers who in my later years I just can't take to and its like torture watching them perform. Give me a choice between any Orbinson song or any Costello, I would go Costello without doubt As for Springsteen, just because a guy choices to perform with someone, don't instantly make them a bad artist, far from it. Take the Beatles again I can't stand them, but that's not a representation of them as individual artists. It's like being stuck in a time warp with some of this music, with no escape, groundhog day everyday torturing not just my ears but my brain. Put another way... If I wanted to fill the world with gloom, I would call on a blind man that forever only sees darkness, from the vulnerability behind his shades.
Love this. One of the reasons I like your reactions to what I post is that I know that you won't like 90% of it but when I find the ones that you do like I'm happy. There's always something good that someone hasn't discovered
I heard this old song today, not that I remember it but maybe there is a reason for that, because its god damn awful, the video, the song, the lyrics. So why was I drawn to it....I'd put that down to the rhythm or what is called probably more correctly the synth riff. So what am I recognising in that riff, when you first hear it, it;s catchy, the more you hear it you then realise it's **** and turns to irritating. The Eurythmics could be the link of Sweet Dreams (are made of this)....but I'm not convinced, your thoughts...
35 years old and not aged one bit, every song is quality. Would definitely be in my top 10 ever, a true 5 star album.
She does no wrong in my book. My daughter always seems to have her solo or a Big Thief album on every night. Shes so looking forward to the gig, Thursday i was the best dad in the world
