What I liked about the just closed transfer window is that despite the lack of numbers coming in, BBM seems to have got precisely who he wanted in footballing terms and not players forced on him by City scouts and clueless directors.

He knew both Trott and Osho previously, and has a closeness with Maresca from his Man City years that enabled him to bring in Kellyman from Chelsea.

Trott has sorted the keeper position, but the test will be integrating Osho and Kellyman into what is essentially a successful home grown set up. He'll also have to balance the merits of earlier imports like Turnbull and Robertson let alone Ng and Chambers. They will want game time.

That will be a test of his managerial skills as well as his tactical awareness. In the meantime, just keep winning games by making the right decisions and the rest should take care of itself.
The 'whatever it is called' cup will ensure there are plenty of games for everyone to play.
Trott looks a good signing with Turner looking a solid back up.
Osho will need to oust Fish. Don't think Lawlor is going to be dropped.
Its easier with players further forward as they tend to be substituted more than defenders and keepers, though our full backs could be subbed as they get through some work.
I think between subs and the cup games there'll be enough to keep everyone sweet.

Two decent articles here.

One on 'Cardiff City, the next generation'.

One on the recruitment of BBM.

Things are looking bright and the alleged consortium bidders have been very quiet.

These lazy, know nothing pundits are starting to make my p!$$ boil now.

A quote from Don Goodman. In general, hes praising Cardiff, but why say we've got the same squad as we came down with?<steam><steam><steam>

But you’ve got to tip your hat to Brian Barry-Murphy. It really doesn’t get more impressive than what he’s done. It’s pretty much the same squad - only one or two signings — yet he’s galvanised them after a season of struggle, injected belief, and completely changed their style of play.

The majority of so called pundits are clueless muppets. Total lack of knowledge and research. It's all about the soundbite.

Goodman is regularly useless but the worst of all is Clinton Morrison who frequently let's his biases show.

It's no wonder Shearer is a permanent fixture on MoTD. He has a very low bar to beat.

Sorry Bluey, but Clinton Morris is eclipsed by Carlton Morris - he's an absolute arse when it comes to analysis.

After the disastrous start to last season when we were adrift at the bottom of the league, he said Bulut needed to be backed by Tan.

Should have said Clinton Morrison. His whiney, quasi Caribbean accent gets right up my nose to begin with. Then he shows total bias in favour of his ex clubs to the detriment of all others.

Can't say I recall anything Carlton Morris has said but the point you make means he is coming from a very low start point.

Sorry Bluey, my bad - I should have said Carlton Palmer. <doh>

Not summer I know, but given what we've seen to date and given BBMs desire for a small squad, will we see any incomings or outgoings in January?
Tanatswa on loan if Tanner is getting back to fitness?
Another LB and Giles out on loan?
Not sure where you'd fit a player in unless one left. We seem quite well stocked on options. Where does Robertson fit in if fit?
It would need to be a step up in quality with a guaranteed start to justify signing anyone.
And yet.......
......we still need that ruthlessness in the final 3rd.
Is that a new player or just more coaching. And if it's a new player is that a striker or someone pulling the strings?

If anything, it's a bit of fine tuning rather than radical change. That bit has already been done. And we'll done BBM and the coaching staff for implementing that and to the players for embracing it.

LB cover if Bagan is injured.
A goal scoring winger with a decent turn of speed
Striker?

ps on Robertson he had a great season with Pompey at this level but will we ever see it?

With Ng back in harness and getting better every game, Kpackio could be up for a game on the left as cover for Bagan if injured?

Apart from the returning (hopefully) Ollie Tanner, a more direct winger with pace and end product should certainly be on the bucket list.

Apart from that, as Albert said - "If I could make a wish, I think I'd pass - can't think of anything I need".

“All I need is the air that I breath” ….granted…..but who the hell is Albert?

He wrote it.

Thought it was the winger Uncle Albert , Albert Hammond wrote 50% of it! Not everyone on the forum would be bright enough to have known that. A great many’s intellect have be marred by years of sexual fantasies, inadequacies and ukelele playing….you know who you are….not Barry Tiger though!

Just had to listen to it.
Very good song.
