He never got close to scoring an actual goal but had a good game last night against a far better team than he’ll play in our dross league or Scotland. Just so rarely brought that level of aggression to run off the mill league games. If the penny ever drops with him he’ll be a proper striker but at his age it probably won’t.
I thought he put a good shift in yesterday. He had a chance and as usual spent an age wondering what to do.
Not for the first time, I left a nil-nil wondeting why Dykes didn't just bloody shoot.
