Very good bating performance. What is don't get is Vince scooping after hitting two lovely 4's. Albert tried similar switch hits straight after hitting great shots. I really do not get why these players play these high risk shots when they are already creaming it player more conventional low risk shots

I think there are four different routes we could go for replacing Dawson - but they're all bad:

    1. Replace him with the next bowler in line - ie Jack - and hence have no front line spinner and a bit of a tail.
    2. Replace him with the next batter in line - ie Orr - and hence have no front line spinner and only five bowlers.
    3. Replace him with a domestic spinner - either Organ or Neal.
    4. Replace him with Fortuin, and leave out Lynn - presumably to be replaced by Orr.

I hate the idea of going in with a five man attack. So that option surely has to be discounted. Of the other three options, I think I'm very reluctantly going to go with replacing him with Jack - particularly if we end up being the first SF on a fresh pitch. But at the end of the day, Dawson is simply irreplaceable.

    I don't disagree

Kent have had an awful season in all other formats.

Lancs will be favourites, we just scraped in, but if our top order all get going, we can make a fight of it.

I was forgetting that Baker isn't in the t20 squad vs SA. So hopefully he'll be available. In which case it might just be Baker in, Dawson out.

And as things stand currently, Breetzke will be available for Northants because he isn't part of the SA's t20 squad. But given his incredible run of ODI form, they must at least be tempted to add him?

I would give Neal a go if Dawson isn't released by England. Yes, I know it would be a big game to chuck him in for but I'd fancy him keeping it tighter than Organ.

I'd also be OK with Organ instead, I do think we'd need a spinner. Either Organ or Neal could bat at 8, or even 9 with Currie at 8, so the batting depth shouldn't be too much of a problem I don't think.

If Baker in, then to replace Wheal in my book.

For me, it depends on the track that Warks prepare. We may be able to get by with Howell as our slow bowling option. I do think we need 6 bowling options (I don't trust Fuller to bowl 4). So, assuming Baker is available we have him, Currie, Wood, Fuller and Howell with our 5 certainties. Then we either go with Wheal/Jack or Organ IMO. It wouldn't be fair on Organ to go with Neal ahead of him if we do want a spinner, plus Organ is the better batter. Either way, it's s considerably weaker bowling line up but I don't think we can do without either Lynn or Cartwright in our batting.

Yep, as I say, happy with Organ too. One final option would be to choose Prest (nominally at 6 but could slide down to 8) and pencil in 2 overs of spin from him. Obviously, if it goes OK he could have a 3rd, but that's unlikely.

Kent are throwing this away. No in game adjustments at all. The RR is fine - just knock the spinners around. Ridiculous from Denly.

Thought you could have made 170 which would have been a good score on this wicket. Need to bowl well but you still have a chance.
