I'm surprised Starmer didn't make Yvett Cooper deputy, although I'm sure she's glad to get rid of the job she had.
I just think Lammy is a bit of a liability, he often can't help himself with his motormouth. Just curious would Starmer being doing this to ease the pressure of the back benches or far left of the party.
Although Yvett does come across as a bit of a school headmistress, not the ideal front cover, but it worked for Merkel in Germany.

I think it was obvious from her tv interview that she was going to go, just listening to it was like ouch in the sense of what I said previously, that she probably had nothing to back up her claims. I think it was the Telegraph that went digging, from seeing the news bulletins yesterday.
Tbph I'd rather her still be there, she was pretty harmless and kept her head down, which is lot for someone as loud as her, just the thought of Lammy replacing her is like the nightmare on elm street, I just hope Kier can handle him, I'm not convinced.
She looked to have a promising career ahead of her. Shame, but when you are in these positions people are out to get you politically.
be interesting to see if there is a major change in direction now for the government to ‘firefight’ and push some more populist ideas forward.
Hopefully she will make a comeback if she still has the passion for it - she'll comeback stronger and wiser next time. Just let the storm calm down first, and wait for the next witchhunt, and quietly move back in from the shadows.
