However, please don’t be fooled into thinking that all Labour MPs are cheating scamming hypocrites whilst the Tories and Reform MPs are all shining examples of honesty, integrity and moral decency. They aren’t. The whole House of Commons is full of bad apples.

I would never suggest that politicians are anything but lying, cheating, greedy and self serving

As Billy Conolly famously said, just the desire to be a politician should prevent you from ever becoming one and there's a lot of truth in that

Stop complaining about the lovely Angela because it could be worse and you could live with Trump on your doorstep trying to screw Canada over and over again. He already made a trade deal with us in his last term and said it was a thing of beauty to last forever.
 
She’s a Northern, outspoken, working class woman, of course the establishment are going to scrutinise her every movement for things to attack her for. Of course they don’t use accountants and the like to legally avoid paying as much tax as possible. Of course the rest of us don’t pay builders and the like cash in hand to avoid VAT. Did she F up, yes of course, was it malicious, I don’t think so. People in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones.

You would have thought after the uncertainty over whether her council house sale was all above board she would have learned her lesson for all of the adverse publicity that generated and be squeaky clean, but clearly not

You can’t spend your political life asking for people in other parties to be sacked without being heavily scrutinised yourself

They’re hardly going to say sorry gov we gave crap advice are they?, of course there going to defend their position, an independent investigation needs to happen to determine the facts. That’s what any fair minded person would want.

You’d think the current Housing Minister would have access to the very best housing related legal advice possible…Labour promised change, a clean slate and better accountability.
