It's an indefinite ban to be reviewed in 3 years.
Seems excessive but apparently the post got some traction on social media.
I know it's an old joke, but suggesting a Jewish bloke's worse than Hitler is rather tasteless.
I doubt the guy was thinking of it like that, though.

If tastelessness was a crime, I'd be in for 3 lifetimes!

    This is a ridiculous overreaction.

I'd like to hear from the club about it.
The bloke's going to make a "statment" tomorrow, but I doubt it'll be enlightening.

Sounds like he'd fit in nicely on the War Thread.

@brb can we sort out membership?

I think he can go with his head held high. Think back to where the club was when he took over from Sugar and look where we are now.

He’s done fantastic and now we look to someone who can adopt levy’s skills onto the pitch and create some success there.

From the wording of the statement he still owns a significant portion of the club.

As Chairman it’ll be interesting to see what’s written about his legacy

His former shareholding is in trust, like Lewis' shareholding.

We've gone from being run by bean counters, to run by lawyers...so far, so good.

So we have a non executive Chairman in Peter Charrington now. So I take it he will make the top decisions ?

Is this all part of the rumoured takeover / part takeover of the club ?

Vinai being the CEO is hands on with the day to day running of the club so it looks like he is the main man now.

For context: somebody else was recently banned from the stadium (and Twitter) for posting this

please log in to view this image

Going to suggest that when one ****poster posts a legitimate threat to shoot somebody, anybody making jokes about shooting that same person will not get the benefit of the doubt

The American-ness of that picture makes it hard to take seriously, though.
Still earned the ban and possible investigation, obviously.

    Who has claimed that?
How is it a good thing for the Club to have promised part of its future income stream to a bank?
I presume this is about funding the hotel. It won't affect our ability to spend on football.

Oh god, it's going to be just like that bloody golf course we had people banging on about for months

The golf course the club spent £180k on...

Are you claiming that you didn't say that covenants on Spurs' existing debt precluded further borrowing to spend on signings/wages/etc.?

When you're as rich as the Lewis family, you can do whatever you want, pretty much...apart from giving privileged stock tips to pilots or buying an NFL franchise. All they have to do is offer security on a loan, like JL did for £0.5 billion of debt in the early days of the stadium build.

Is it a good thing to borrow against future earnings? It's risky but we all do it everyday. I've done it to buy property, cars, invest in businesses, lend to friends and family and so on. So far, it's gone well. I'm up on my dealings. Spurs can be too...if the investments are smart and not excessive. Don't bet the farm with money you can't recover and stick to what you know.

Spurs could have borrowed against the potential future sale of HK, or Sonny, or Dele back in 2016/2017. We sold all 3 of them eventually, anyway. If we'd done that, maybe we'd have won the League???
