Gareth Southgate has received a knighthood for services to British sport.
"I didn't lose to ****ing Senegal, did I?", he may or may not have said.

Agreed 100%, but I'd rather he stayed fit and healthy at Spurs.

    England squad:

    Goalkeepers:
Jordan Pickford, James Trafford, Dean Henderson
Defenders: Reece James, Marc Guehi, John Stones, Dan Burn, Ezri Konsa, Myles Lewis-Skelly, Tino Livramento, Djed Spence
Midfielders: Elliot Anderson, Morgan Gibbs-White, Jordan Henderson, Adam Wharton, Morgan Rogers, Declan Rice
Forwards: Harry Kane, Eberechi Eze, Jarrod Bowen, Anthony Gordon, Noni Madueke, Marcus Rashford, Ollie Watkins

With James and Livramento in there, it looks like Spence is primarily in as a left-back.
Jordan Henderson is still getting selected.

Livramento plays both sides as well though.

True. Nice for the manager to have some options there, for once.

Having read Tuchels comments, he actually said he picked James and Livramento to compete for right back so you are right. Leaves Spence competing with the Arsenal toddler.

Wonder why the Tottenham stadium isn’t used for England matches especially with its 62000 capacity ?

I think that they like to move it around the country if Wembley's not used.
Coldplay are playing it, which is why the game's at Villa Park.
It'll also be nice for the locals to see the home team score a goal. <whistle>

Apparently Djed Spence is the first Muslim to pray, sorry: play for England?

    Surprising if true.

    @Spurlock to confirm.

Yeah looking back, there was no need for Conte to say what he did. For a young player it shattered his confidence and certainly wouldn’t have made him feel welcome.

It is a bit surprising, but I can't think of anyone obvious that's been overlooked.
There was some suggestion a few years back that Luke Shaw was a Muslim.
Obviously untrue though, as that **** clearly eats plenty of bacon.
