By some distance the best and strongest side in the men's competition. And one of the best t20 sides anywhere in the world.

But for the good of the competition, the rumours of a decreased number of retentions for next year does need to happen, to help even out the playing field.

 

I think an auction would be better than a draft as well so teams really have to think about who they want and budget accordingly.

Somerset. Abject batting after limiting Worcs to a chaseable target.

 

Oh well, you could always support Hampshire in the final

 

I grew up as a Hampshire supporter in the days of Barry Richards and Robin Smith, before moving to Somerset. I have no problem in lending them my support for the final!

 

Baker will make his ODI debut tomorrow. Really looking forward to seeing how he gets on against a top international batting line up.

 

I also wonder if England are looking to take him to Australia for the Ashes. Would be a huge call but the pitches would suit him.
