I think this team (plus Caspar rotating with Downes/Charles and Downs coming off the bench) will be great fun to watch when up to speed.
But he's a RW, same as Fellows. Think I'd rather have Adarma cutting in off the left than Fraser who's more of an out and out wide man who goes down the line.
I don’t see Fraser as just a winger. Yes he can go down the line and put in quality crosses (2 things that Armstrong can’t do) but he also showed two seasons ago that he will drift into central positions and get goals, just as he did at Norwich on Tuesday. Armstrong was outstanding two seasons ago but I think he did well because he had Che Adams drawing CBs out of position and helping to create space for him. If we can create a similar system to put Armstrong through on goal then I would be happier for him to be in the team.
I like the discussion of Mads’ physical data. It seems as if Still puts a great emphasis on players being physically right - and we 100% lost that under Martin.
Hoping we’ll see something similar to Norwich away being honest. No point changing something that worked imo & be great to see both Archer & Stewart both get more minutes and put a run of form together. Bazunu, THB, Wood, Stephens Downes, Mads, Fraser, Charles, Manning, Archer, Stewart Hopefully Azaz, Jandar & Fellows available to make an impact off the bench if they’re signed in time
Doubt even if they sign in time they'd travel with the intent of playing as it would be less than 24 hours in the club but just having them signed is a morale booster for the game / fans etc
I'd like any new signings eligible to start. Not ideal for this fixture but will help for the more important one coming up.
Presumably it will only be Azaz that is eligible to play. But I too would throw him straight into the mix. I don't think Still will though
Bazunu Roerslev THB Stephens Wood Manning Downes Charles Fraser Archer Stewart Is my prediction for the lineup
Nah, Stewart every day for me. Thought him and Archer looked like they could have something together the other night.
