I don't want to be a fly in your ointment but he did make a top six finish with us and he has got my respect for that, he has gone but I''m still not sure where we are going, like others I'll wait for 10 games to study form but I do like the stat we have gone 3 games unbeaten.

Never took to his game styles and formations-I was extremely happy when he left us for Norwich.
Struber talks and oozes football so much better and I was underwhelmed when he was appointed manager.

Obviously I was delighted with our 6th place finish, however I did feel he took us as far as he could, I didn’t have a sense that he was building something, more that he’d taken us as far as he could, at the expense of our long term interests.

it felt like he was more interested in the interests of Liam Manning, rather than the interests of Bristol City.

Whiist obviously I was delighted with 6th placed, I wasn’t overly impressed with our style of play at times, the horse shoe at times bored the hell out of me. The question I guess is which is more important style over success.

On a positive note, the fan base seem much less divided over the appointment of Struber.

we finished 6th which is what the history books will tell.
HOWEVER in reality his achievement was he got us to the point where we stayed in touch hovering around the 6th position and I am grateful we had the experience of that. ....... BUT I will always look upon it as an opportunity "gifted" at least 3 other teams capitulated in the dieing games ........... but that is football! thats why we love and keep coming back for more!

I didn’t really take to him as a person
He always seemed distant and humourless when interviewed
But should Norwich, and any other fancied teams fail to live up to expectations again this season, that can only be good news for unfancied teams like us, right ?

Far to early for me to say I like Struberball. A great win at Sheffield Utd but they've had a terrible start, since then we couldn't beat a poor Derby side and the Charlton game was as bad as anything I saw under Manning.
The current love in with Struber might not be the same after 10 games.

I think we just ran out of steam and were running on empty. The run in to actually achieving 6th place was both mentally and physically draining.

SU on the other hand reached the playoffs several games earlier and therefore had time to rest and regroup before playing us. Then add to that Dickies sending off, and having to play much of the first leg with 10 men, and the rest is history.

I WAS in Scotland ...found a place in the mountains which was about 5 or 6 metres long where got a signal that allowed BEEB SPORT SITE... able to follow our game from 1nil down 2-0 then draw etc
never expected the other teams to dip out but didnt expect to lose v LUTON EITHER we would have been on 70 points at that point and as turned out played Sunderland......funny old game
