The ref hasn't got a clue, probably still pissed from last night - fall over and you get a foul - I don't think we're at a huge disadvantage coz he's **** for both teams - still think we'll win - we got a lot better as the match wore on
OK it's not been great, but there's glimmers of hope, we're severely missing Hughes physicality and distribution, and Crooks nouse in the engine room, young McCarthy grew into it but isn't at this level yet, and while Slater is trying his best he aint no Crooks. Palmer and Gelhardt have been off it, but as has been mentioned we just need to calm down a bit, play our game and we'll get something from this.
Bad as it has been, we've still created something pretty much every time we've got into the last 3rd, so I'm hopeful for the second half. Belloumi on before too long, Gelhardt to 10, Palmer dropping back, sorted.
I can forgive McCarthy for looking a bit nervy and being a bit safe with the ball. I can't forgive Slater though. He needs to be playing football for once. He's never on the end of the second ball, he never shows for passes and he never makes meaningful passes. He's a complete passenger most of the time. He'll pop up in a goalscoring position now and then before ****ing it up and he'll sometimes carry the ball forward before giving it away, or if we're lucky, he'll maybe win us a free kick. That's everything in his locker.
Think we all got a bit carried away after beating a very poor Oxford side in the last mins of the game. Still need a couple of bodies in midfield. Wonder why Akintola didn’t start, not fit enough for 60-70 mins?
Kamara season long loan at getafe Hughes was tongue in cheek but... They said he was concussed Then he was ill
