Firstly, yes, I am a huge Fernando Torres fan so my view of him will be biased, but that's because I know the player he can be. I am frustrated with his lack of game time because how is he ever going to play himself in to form? All he gets is the odd ten minutes at the end if he is lucky.

What do you think AVB plans for him? will he ever get his chance?

The £50m pound question being asked by every football pundit! Only a long term injury to Drogs (or his departure) will provide an opportunity!

I agree but Drogs is playing well and it'd be stupid to drop him. He holds up the ball better than anyone and allows Mata and Studge to run riot. Unless we change our formation, Drogba should start for me.

Drogba has played his way into the starting line up and of late, Torres hasn't shown a lot when given oppotunities. Frankly part of that reason is our style seems to suit playing Drogba more which isn't really Torres' fault. However with Anelka set to leave and Drogba going to ACN (assuming he doesnlt leave as well), Torres will probably have half a dozen games to stamp his authority come January. Lets hope he takes his chance.

he needs to be more selfish in front of goal to get a few goals, then hopefully kick on from there. i've seen quite a few games which he was involved in and when presented with a chance to take someone on just outside the box or shoot from a difficult position, he usually passes it, difficult chances yes, but £50m strikers should put them away in their sleep.

i dread to think how much he's cost your club so far..

I bet he's made a few quid back in shirt sales and merchandising though. Same reason Real could justify 80 mil for Ronaldo.

If as expected this is Drogs last season then I would expect torres to get more game time if he has a future at the club. Is drogba at acon in Jan?

We all know the player Torres can be. But when he has had chances to prove himself he hasn't delivered. Drogba is in great form right now. Maybe in January when the ACON start is when Torres will play again.

think drogbas form might have something to do with him looking for a big money move like anelka - his agent has said that drogba will go where he is offered the most money - classy guy

Lack of game time? He has had lots of chances to play and impress and so far he hasnt taken any of them. He doesnt look like scoring when he is on the field, he looks slow and his touch is sloppy. I would prefer playing Sturridge up front when Drogba is at the ACON as on form he is miles ahead of Torres. Torres has been a passenger far too often in a Chelsea shirt.

Spot on, hopefully roman will learn from the mistake this time, he bought a world class striker which is good but he failed to see that he wouldn't gel in our team whereas the manager would know who's right and who's not

you're stuck with him, he'll be on a contract which basically ties him to the club, same as with lampard. at present he's probably 'worth' around half of what was paid for him, and even then its hard to see who would take him, apart from anzhi <laugh>

you better hope he finds form by the end of the season otherwise, you begin to wonder if he'll ever score goals with regularity at chelsea. maybe a transfer or loan is what he needs, but with the £50m and all that, he'll have to play his way back in to the fray at chelsea, but with drogba seemingly playing for a new contract, and delivering in spades, he'll have to do so off substitute appearances, which is never easy <ok>

Drogba leaving will bring out the best in Torres. It was coming until that ridiculous red card. Now that Torres is firmly pressed on that bench Drogba is thriving. It's an odd one. To be frank, if we buy a new striker both have to go.

He is a world class player and really needs to feel appreciated which I don't think he is. AVB is tough and won't find much praise for off form players as we know.

why would we loan him back to liverpool and allow them to become a serious threat to us? and why would we sell him to liverpool for half of what we paid lol if we do sell him it will be half price but i doubt it will be to another premier league club. I think the key indication to me that he will be going in January is that he didn't even celebrate with the rest of the boys last night, even luiz jumped over the stand to celebrate with everyone yet torres was nowhere to be seen, feel so sorry for him but the way drog is playing at the moment his got no chance of starting
