Just to while away the hours. We’ve all seen the threads like what was your first match etc. I thought I’d add a little twist and get the line up from it.
In fact this thread will probably have been done as well, but heyho…..
It can be found on this website here. http://www.thestatcat.co.uk/default.aspx

My very first game with my dad was against Aston Villa on 7th March 1981, I was 12 and spent the match trying to avoid sitting on the spikes of the railings in the paddock of the Main Stand as it was too low down for me to see any of the match. We lost but I was hooked!

A young highly rated David Kelly scored for them, he went on to play with us 10 years later.

Fair play to you all, especially the older ones. I've had a look on Google and can't find the team list.

Found out it was 22nd Nov 1983, Sunderland 1 v 2 Norwich. League Cup. All I remember is that Colin West scored late on.

14th Nov 1955 v Moscow Dynamo with my father. Although we lost 1-0 it was an amazing experience and I'll never forget the satin shirts glistening in the floodlights.

It’s all on the Statcat website from the opening post. It’s a really great and exhaustive resource.
