They are clearly stringing us along. Hopefully we leave them with the offer and start on other targets.
TBF what I will say is that SR have learnt their lesson from the Gakpo saga - if this one falls through there's still plenty of time to get someone else in and I'm certain Spors would have made contingengy plans - this always had the look of a complicated deal.
I suppose there's no incentive for Krasnodar to make a quick deal. If the player is settled, and he's their best player, they'll just keep kicking the can down the road knowing that our offer is there as a fall back if nobody else comes in with a bigger offer. I get the feeling the player is happy to come but he's also not going to rock the boat and damage his relationship with Krasnodar to force the move to happen a week or two earlier than it might eventually happen. And if it doesn't happen, then it might be because something better comes along for him anyway
Agree with this. But we can't wait much longer. If we threaten to walk away (which will surely happen soon if they keep delaying things) they may have to accept the offer. If he doesn't sign a new contract he could end up leaving for much less or for free next summer.
Don’t think this transfer will happen personally. The selling club are touting for a bigger club, and the player seems to be happy with that, with all that has been posted / suggested. You’d think that an experienced Football Director like Spors would know this and hopefully working on alternative deals?
I would like to think it is dead already to Spors EDIT: I think Spors saw a Saint! thread by SaintMagic and decided it wasn't going to happen then, Though he has had a chuckle at the Russian puns
Yes but he hasn't read our puns yet. He wouldn't get them at PSG. Maybe he is reluctant but he can't be too KG B for joining us.
