I wonder where Celar & his fanily want to be. I don't know where his partner is from but I presume she'd rather be near her family. As for Celar, this is a World Cup season and if he has any ambition he needs to play games & score goals. QPR wages may however also influence matters.
It's been like that for ages now. We seem to still be in pre season, experimenting putting players out of position. In what world do you play a central midfielder at RB and a centre back/right back as LB and expect the balance to work. Even more baffling having one of each position on the bench?!?!. Why Adamson didn't start against Plymouth is beyond me but that game was all about the shop window and trying to add immediate value to our youngsters over actually winning. We are 2 games in and already the manager is talking about fatigue ffs
It would be a big blow to the algorithm nerds to admit defeat and loan him out while subsidising the wages in Switzerland / Slovenia so I doubt it’ll happen but he really needs to be a distant fourth choice behind Kone, Burrell and Kolli.
We’ve chatted on occasion. My eyes are getting worse though so if you could all wear your usernames in large font on a hat that would be ideal.
I can't believe that Nourry would want to unduly influence team selection. Briatore tried it, but that was just his hubristic nature. I reckon Nourry is too much of a pragmatist to want to impose his ideas on a manager/head coach. Madsen must show up well in training for him to get the amount of game time that he does, but his lack of physicality makes him completely unsuited to a role with any defensive responsibilities. Varane must start when fit.
Familiar learnings and fresh frustrations as QPR lose at Watford – Report - Queens Park Rangers News | Loft For Words
He turned that round quick. Worrying times that the away faithful are already starting to grumble....Stephan was always going to struggle for support if he didn't get winning straight away
The team selections are strange to say the least, Coventry won't be a walk in the park so things could get ugly...
I'm sure Julien has learned from his first half selection mistakes. He disrupted the balance on the pitch by playing players out of position. You can sometimes accommodate doing that with 1 position but he did it all over the pitch. That first half was on him, which I think he may have admitted. This obsession with just having a lone striker really is hampering us from winning games, we will, of course pick up the odd win here and there but we always seem to be more concerned how the opposition play over our own style and this is where we fail. We have to have confidence in how we play, be structured and express the talent we have. Every pre match (more so under Marti) was about how the opposition would play.
He got it wrong first half Bob and sort of put his hands up to that Clearly he's finding his way with a lot of variables - new club, new country, strange league, players he's seen for a few weeks and players he's seen for 10 minutes, our usual injury list - so he can be excused for the initial experimentation, hopefully he has learnt a valuable lesson and we won't see another first half shambles again More worrying, and something mentioned in a few places and very noticeable Saturday in the stands, he has yet to develop any sort of bond with the already disaffected support. No Stephan songs, no recognition. At the final whistle I made my lad hang about until Stephan came over to applaud the fans. Previously I've seen most of the away support stay and reciprocate, but this time no one seemed to care too much and were heading out asap. After a cursory wave he nipped back down the tunnel sharpish. It's fair to say he doesn't (as yet) have the bond with the fans the way Marti did. That clearly will change based upon results but I don't think he has much time before they get on his back big time Maybe hes a genius coach, let's hope so, but also he needs to develop a connection which hasn't happened as yet Early doors but so far played 3 drawn 1 lost 2 isn't great given the football we've seen
Would JS be making those decisions or would it be our new amazing Defence coach. Quite disturbing that Steve Bould has overseen all 6 goals conceded that were all incredibly poor defending.
Yeah it is early doors, as it is for every team but you are correct, he did throw his hands up and take it on the chin. It's not so much the results that have concerned me to be honest, it's been more of the selection of players and tactics. The cup game was just a value adding, shop window game which should have been told to the faithful well before tickets were purchased. Saturdays selection was just bizarre and if he keeps selecting MaDseN then we are in for a whole lot of trouble. The only way he could possibly play is in a 3 man central midfield which then leaves us even shorter in attacking threat.
I didn't really subscribe to the Cup game being a 90 minute junior talent showcase but maybe you're right, maybe he was directed to play the kids. In a way it was positive in that we saw some good potential and given we always lose in the Cup, nothing was actually sacrificed
I got the feeling that it was 'shop window' time for Nardi and Bonner and to increase any value to the youngsters as in ' he made his debut at 16 he must be something special'. I honestly didn't see any other benefits from it.
The buck has to stop with Stephan, it has to be his selection and tactics. If not he's just a patsy...
