Tbf he played 46 games(including playoffs)last season and if you remove 8 to make it 38 he still has 12 goals
not if you remove 8 that he scored in

Why would you pick 8 games in the middle of the season and not just remove 39-46 and count the first 38 games like a season, or even more relevant since he missed games you do it to matchday 38 cause you aren’t guaranteed to play every game and the that’s the number of prem matchdays oh look at that still 12 goalsnot if you remove 8 that he scored in![]()
He played the equivalent of 34 games minutes wise so slightly better than one in three. Why would you pick 8 games in the middle of the season and not just remove 39-46 and count the first 38 games like a season, or even more relevant since he missed games you do it to matchday 38 cause you aren’t guaranteed to play every game and the that’s the number of prem matchdays oh look at that still 12 goals
It's also not just about the strikers, we've purposely signed rapid attacking players to play on the counter. That’s your opinion, the club back the two strikers that got 15 g/a’s in their first season in the championship. Both have profiles that suit premier league football. And we’ve signed a young striker from a top PL club on loan who made his debut at 17 for BARCELONA/
It’s fine to maybe feel that way but there’s zero evidence to say our strikers aren’t going to manage to score goals

Teams aren’t going to defend deep or shutting up shop against us at all this season the challenges for us this season from my view are going to be
can we be solid/resilient enough at the back to prevent teams that are going to taking the game to us from scoring
given the fact they won’t be defending deep/shutting up shop can we be good enough on the counter to create chances
and then are we good enough to take those chances.
watching last night an established side like Bournemouth played pretty well and still conceded 4…..we need to be patient and understanding with the team.
I think we can surprise a few but we will also take the odd beating, we need to stay level and take each game as it comes.
Really hoping we can get off to a flyer today HTFL
teams may shut up shop against us after going 1 or 2 nil up mind. We won’t always be able to rely on countering.
Figure of speech mate. You're overthinking it.Just to ask. If you don't care what anyone says why are you on a forum for open conversation?
As for your opinion, you may well be right or you may be totally wrong, we won't know until the season kicks off and we see all the pieces put together.
In my opinion I think Isidor is more suited to the prem than the Championship. I think Mayenda will relish the challenge, I think Guiu will add strength and determination to the front line, I think Abdullahi and Ogunsuyi will play their part this season
We all have opinions mate but to say you don't care what anybody says kind of defeats the object of your initial post ( if you dot care what is said why post in the first place??)
I said league season. I notice Isidor scored 12 now tho so yeh
worth pointing out that was a 49 game season so we can normalise that down to 38![]()

If we break our transfer record to bring back Amad then that would be unbelievable but can't see it
Xhaka is unreal but Amad would be akin to Aliens beaming down at half time in the stadium of light at half time and saying “We’ve been up there all this time Marra’s and we hate Sam Fender too”If we break our transfer record to bring back Amad then that would be unbelievable but can't see it
It's not going to happen. Anyway, dare I say it; in my opinion we need a bigger physical presence than Amad in a new forward. If we break our transfer record to bring back Amad then that would be unbelievable but can't see it
Great post that. He’s already seeing it.
120k shirts sold already. Madness.
10k waiting list. Madness.
Half mile queues at club shop. Madness.
And this is while we still expect a relegation battle.
I have seen the increase in Sunderland shirts all over Shields and all over Sunderland last few weeks.
Even the little corner of our earth that is this forum. It never ends on here now, never.
Those of us that been in here for the last 15 years or so will know that’s not been the case, even when we were PL before the fall.
The club is growing, buzzing, thriving. For the first time in my life the city is too.
It’s a perfect marriage with an owner who sees it and this is just the first blowing of a Tsunami.
We aren’t Liverpool, United or Arsenal.
We Are Sunderland. We were always proud of it. We just needed to rest, reset and go again.
I was surprised to see that Wilson made 43 league appearances, plus 3 play off appearances. Equivalent of 34 games in minutes. Felt like he’d missed more.Wilson didn’t play 46 games, nowhere near. Neither did the Big Man.

Mayenda made 37 appearances plus play offs. equivalent of 25 games or so minutes wise.
