The seasons are all over the place.
Leaves dropping, fruit ripening.
Picked about 3lbs of sloes today. Only took half an hour.
Berries just coming away from the plant leaving the stalks behind. Also carrying the 'bloom' they get, so definitely ripe.
In years gone by its been october before I've been picking.
Anyway, enough for a few litres in the freezer. Will have another couple sessions picking in the next week. A lot are high up on the bushes so will need assistance from Mrs Remote driving the 'safe working platform'.

You mean the step ladder.
 
Off shopping for another tractor next week. With daughter and partner off to Staffordshire next month, they'll be taking the 7840 with them.
Looking for something a bit small to leave at our place.

Been looking on line, but most of it is out of their price range. Might test drive a few though. <laugh>
We'll probably go back to where we got the last one. He's a friend of a friend so he'll only sell you something that's straight.
