Full story here Apparently he's been diagnosed with a chronic inflammatory bowel condition and told to take a break from football. Quite serious by all accounts so I wish him all the best, he's a fairly limited footballer but has always worked his socks off and gained the respect of those in the game.
Good luck to him, hope he makes a full recovery and comes back. From a selfish point of view, I fully expect Tiote/Cabaye to Man U rumour mill to go into overdrive now.
Best wishes to the lad. Must be pretty bad for him to take a break from football, but his health must come first.
Sounds very serious. Best wishes and good luck to Fletch on making a full recovery.I played against Darren at schoolboy level a few times and have followed his career closely. My mum got diagnosed with ulcerative colitis a while back, she was lucky that it was very mild and doesn't really affect her day to day life. Some people do need chemotherapy to get through it though and it can really knock you for six. Like I said, all the best to Fletch and hope he fully recovers.
my cousins boyfriends dad was his old pe teach and still keeps in contact with him. thats my link to him.
He megged our goalkeeper from a free kick. Thats prob why he's playing for the most successful team in the country and our goalkeeper is now a MSP
Apparently has a very sore ringpiece and john Oshea isn't involved? Back to normality for you there Dave, like anyone gives a ****
Bad news for him, and just hope he recovers to the extent of having a decent life out the back of it. If he gets back to football double thumbs up.
