That's because they are undocumented illegals mate.
If they kept their documents and came through France they could just hop on a ferry to get here.
Much cheaper than the £7k they pay for a seat on a rubber boat too.

Yeah it is mate, far more dangerous than crossing our little channel, normally high death tolls there I believe if things go wrong. Lampedusa is the small Island they ended up with more migrants than residents, because they see it as the gateway to Europe.

As a personal claim, I do hope Biden is right because this could end up costing him. She's not someone I'd want to piss off if the claim is unfounded.

Edit: Just reread it and it was Hunter not Joe, ah **** him.

A ferry firm's headquarters is set to be bought by the Home Office, KentOnline can reveal. The building, which has been occupied by P&O Ferries in Dover for 38 years, will still be used as an office and administrative building for the government department.

It is understood the building will not be used for accommodation or relating to the Home Office work on dealing with small boat arrivals when they are brought to shore in the port. <laugh>

The Entry/Exit System (EES) is anticipated to begin in October, following an announcement by the European Union. The new scheme includes biometric scans and checks and is expected to add time to passport checks when travelling to the continent.

The Port of Dover has been preparing by adding capacity and land at the Western Docks to carry out the new-style border checks.
