Adkins said that just after Saturday's game but nothing new. Kelvin will still have to pass a medical. 'How many arms have you got, Davis?' 'Two.' 'You're playing.'
isnt it a bit odd that Davis would miss the Blackpool game and just happen to have his 250th game v Pompey.....
MAn! Don't mention 2005. I've only just recovered.... sorry, my wife has only just recovered. That day was the one and only time I really stepped over the line at home and said things that maybe I shouldn't have... .... well, fancy asking me just as we'd gone 2 nil down after 5 minutes what we're having for lunch!
Sorry to be a gloom merchant but it only says "should be fit". Don't believe anything unless (a) it's on the OS or (b) Nigel says it on the British Broadcasting Corporation. Still, I really hope he is fit!
Ah Stop your worrying If Bart has to play in goal it will be fine.....he is just as capable of picking the ball out of the net the same as Davis.....Ok just kidding......He will do ok if he has to play you mark my words!!
Just had to check how the goals went in that day (I went to play tennis with my dad, I couldn't bare watching). I can't believe we were 4-1 down after less than half an hour, what a disgrace.
Well, Lambert was considered iffy playing against Blackpool, right upto the Friday, and he played. Same club, same fitness staff. Davies very nearly played against Blackpool, apparently. I reckon he'll be fit for Pompey.
It's worse when, like me, you're pretty much the only football fan in the family. People wonder why you're a bit snappy, and when you apologise and tell them the reason, they would say... Oh them. Aren't they always losing..? [said in a condescending and entirely uninformed manner, but in that era, completely accurate].
this was posted on the Echo comments today: Only one worrying note. spoke to Kelvin, who is unsure as to whether he'll be fit for Sunday! So it could well be Bart back in goal. Kelvin was really supportive of Bart, and said that he's a fantastic keeper, and the same thing has happened to him in the past - happens to every keeper at some point, and that next time he plays he was sure we'd see a different player.
I really hope so and if he does lets just hope he gets an early touch of the ball to calm his nerves. If he got it wrong on Sunday not sure he'd have anyway back with most fans.
no but i might have to consider it if she doesnt understand sunday - ive been drilling it into her for weeks now!
