My mistake. We were linked with a late move for someone called Terrega from Valencia. The article mentioned CF, but I think that must be the Spanish version of our FC, so I thought he was a Centre Forward. He was, infact, a CB.
id put my hat on at least another 100m, spend all the way until the dead line and on at least 4 players, it could even be more. The players we've signed, the likes of Xhaka, to me it's a job half done and that's fine because it literally goes until the window closes. I doubt we've pulled in diarra and xhaka if we dont have a couple more knockout blow in us.
Don’t get it, we are back in the PL, why try and cause unrest? Why try and tear apart the best team we’ve had in years. some just want to watch the world burn
this is the way and it has to be, its unfortunate but speakman said it and others have that players will outgrow us and we'll outgrow them. And when youre trying to stay in the league to develop your mutli hundred million pound asset, you can't be sentimental. The only 2 players from last year who are safe for me are mayenda and rigg because of their age and potential. Obviously an offer is an offer but you know what i mean. I think the harsh reality is that everyone in the playoff final team is easily replaceable and upgradable, which is wild in theory.
I thought in the match against Sevilla where Abdullahi and him came together 85 mins there was something in their interaction that struck me. Can't put my finger on it but left an impression which makes me think this may float.
I think they are Sunderland fans, on the whole, but their desperation to dredge up every scrap of information, about the club, blinds them from the big picture. Sorry if this sounds misogynistic, it's not meant to be, but there's an analogy between your woman and your football team. And this is what these people miss. With women and your club there has to be a little mystery and things left unseen or unsaid ... ... I don't believe I have to explain but I will if anyone asks
The big difference is that the players we have recruited were value for money signings ,a group of players who appear to be very talented with quite a bit of experience whilst giving scope for more similar value signings- step up Mr Speakman most people have been blown away with your business to date , keep up the good work .
One of my fave players, watched him live years ago for Belgium U21s when he was still in Juventus's B team. Gone from strength to strength since then, just an all round solid defender
Just doesn’t seem to retweet rumours that’s all, went through his twitter and it was only the Xhaka here we go from fabrizio
Sadly there's always been a streak like that in a section of our fanbase. I'm 52 and I've never been able to work it out. There's always a section that will turn on a player, a manager, a coach, the chairman for next to no reason. There's loads now kissing Sir Bob Murray's backside calling him a great man who were slagging him off as worse than Peter Sutcliffe 30 years ago during the "Murray out" phase, the same ones who 20 something years ago wanted him out and George Reynolds to replace him. The section that wanted every manager from and including Peter Reid sacked and replaced by Matin O'Neill until we got O'Neill and he flopped. The ones that loved Di Canio and go on about the "rotten core", despite all the evidence that Di Canio was a nutter who did more damage than good here and it was the alleged "rotten core" (Cattermole, O'Shea, Larsen, Bardsley etc) dragged us out of the mess that the players brought in to replace them got us in. There's just a small section of our fans who no matter what want something to be wrong or to have something to complain about, even if it's not true. Sadly social media gives them the platform to air it out more widely and get noticed.
very strange how quick the club pulled that , still think it was because the were worried Chelsea would pull the plug on the loan deal,
Sign another striker and I think Isidor might leave. Could make a tidy profit on him too. Would be a shame to lose him and don’t think it’s strictly necessary, but what a difference someone like Openda could make to us.
