Norwich City vs Millwall

Carrow Road

3p.m Saturday 9th August 2025
Game 1 of 46

Roll up roll up for the first game of the season! A summer of signings the likes of which we have never seen gives the season ahead hope to improve on our rather tepid mid-table finish last season.

Manning now has an abundance of defending/midfield/attacking options at his disposal. Our Brand New Teamä is also further cause for optimism as we hunt for a play off place this season.

I am not expecting the line up below to statt against the Lions, but it shows what an overhaul has occurred over the summer. It may take us a while to gel, and as some commentators mentioned of our last pre-season friendly, there was still an identity missing from the team. I’m hoping we start to see that after half a dozen games or so, when Manning has a better picture of the players at his disposal and how they begin to understand each others approach to play.

Millwall are looking decent for another shout at the play offs, having just fallen short last season. Their Serbian striker Ivanovic is likely their biggest threat.

In Topic we trust!

OTBC and here’s to a cracking season.

Not sure why everyone brings up new players and integrating them into the team taking a few games. Pretty much every team will be in the same situation, and most of our players have been with us from early in the window. If anything, we should be ahead of most in that aspect. There, positive thought for the day. Forson to become the new Buendia as well.

Surprised to see Forson starting, also that Gibbs is on the bench.,Manning has clearly seen aspects of their game that he wants to use. Jurasek not even on the bench; arrived in January and has been virtually absent from the pitch. Is he injured?
