... a few starting minus 20s there ... but otherwise you could be in with a shout <laugh>

Ironically could be very similar to what the EFL try to do to us in the Championship this season <whistle>

The game aside ... I agree with your concern... clubs that have come up and make wholesale changes often find it difficult ... Fulham a few years ago were a classic example ...

... and the gulf between those coming up and those already there is bigger than ever...

... but I do believe that the promoted clubs have a better chance of survival this season than last - not only were the 3 that went straight back down very poor... the clubs they had to 'aim at' just had much more quality than them ...

... but what has happened at Wolves and particularly Brentford leaves them vulnerable IMHO ...they are much weakened by this summers transfer business...

That’s fair enough. I agree some have been weakened and it should be more competitive down the bottom than previous seasons.

I do think ourselves and Leeds are making good signings and really improving our squads maybe more than the teams who have been promoted in previous seasons.

We still have time to sort our defence out because the CB position looks really weak. If we haven’t brought in any for the West Ham game and are thumped it could be a blessing in disguise because it will then push the club into paying whatever for the quality that we need in there.

Mate ... we 'strengthened' with Bobby De-Cordova Reid, Jordan Ayew and Oliver Skipp <laugh>

In fairness Bilal El Khanouss was a real talent and Facundo Buenanotte on loan was good too.

Fosse I will try and do mine properly sometime tonight.

That weekly idea sounds great, but maybe too much work for you.

You can’t possibly be right mate as there was no top flight football then, Fosse to confirm.

Probably about the same. My mates dad used to take us to Stamford bridge to see Chelsea. Also went to the FA cup final in 71 as my cousin was a huge Arsenal fan and to top It all went to the 1977 European cup final at Wembley with my step dad who was a huge Liverpool fan. He won the tickets in some kind of work raffle. Not sure I recognised the importance of the game but first time at Wembley. Not bad for a 12 year old…satisfied?
