Looks like we got Mads 'yoof' Hermansen from Leicester, hopefully better than Areola who is great on his day, but has a touch of the De Gea's too often.

Bought him for circa £5m ... so £18m after 2 seasons is pretty good business... although I'd hoped for more (he is really good)... no real loss for us as Jacob Stolarcyk is just as good, if not better, and has come through our academy ...

Wilf Ndidi had his medical at Besiktas today and will bring in circa £8.5 million ... but more importantly will get his wages off our payroll ... Great servant... wish him well ... but again have a ready, younger, replacement in Boubakary Soumare ...

Squad beginning to shape up nicely tbf...

Nope ... hence my disappointment... West Ham have a bargain at that price... but I think it's also indicative of how highly the club rates Stolarcyk...

With Coady, Hermandsen and Ndidi now gone, I suspect we'll see an incoming shortly... likely a striker ... squad is otherwise very strong for a Championship campaign ...

 

I wouldn't expect you to spin it any other way.

We're happy to get 45% of what we think he's worth because his replacement is highly regarded.

 

Look back at my previous posts... always predicted Hermandsen leaving ... and for that very reason ... we had better results at the end of last season when Hermandsen was injured and Stolarcyk came in for the final few games ... partly coincidental because our fate was already sealed ... but also because Stolarcyk is a proper prospect ... and we know a good keeper at Leicester City... Gordon Banks, Peter Shilton, Kaspar Schmeichel...

Hoping .. not 'enthusing' ... he's worth £40m in today's market - good business for West Ham ...

... but I still expect to be passing you at the end of next season ... indeed, based on acquisitions, suspect you will come down in bottom place ... but what do I know?

 

Ah! the I was totally wrong in my valuation by 55%, so to try and save face, I'll make up for it by totally switching the subject matter.
