They are buying older, experienced players like Moore and Coady. Hardly a long term strategy.

Survival must be the short term strategy. Buy for the longer term when short term objectives achieved. I guess they will want to consolidate and maybe increase capacity?

    Agreed.

They're going for ready made players with very little shelf life to push for the top this season - Keiffer's 33 this Friday and Coady will be 33 during the season.

They're trying to buy instant success rather than building - a particularly American trait. If they don't make it work, they could implode.

They were sniffing around Vardy before they signed Moore.

I read somewhere that they had 6 senior strikers on their books. I assume that means 7 now.

I also read that many players are on top end wages, suggesting it will be difficult to move unwanted players on.

    Its an interesting approach.

Apparently their pursuit of Broadhead is in doubt

I see he's back home after his European tour. Must be over 30 now.

He's 32 and been back with his first club, Copenhagen, since 2022. How on earth did I not notice that? <doh>

Pumas head coach Efraín Juárez confirmed the club expected a gradual integration. “With Aaron, we’re in the final stages of joining the team. We knew it would be like this. That’s why we brought him in, because if he had played and hadn’t gotten injured, he’d have had offers from the Premier League, but we knew that would happen,” Juárez said after last week’s game against Inter Miami.

    Really?
