I like Rowe. I’d be happy to add him to what we have. I also like Bade. I’d be happy to add him also. These are my in depth thoughts on these…
After joining Sunderland, the 19-year-old said: “I’m feeling great and really looking forward to the season ahead. I see myself as a powerful striker, who can make a difference on and off the ball, and I pride myself on being a natural goalscorer. This year is a huge opportunity for me to help take this team where it truly deserves to be, and I can’t wait to get started.” Kristjaan Speakman said: “In a loan acquisition, we not only have to convince the player but also the parent Club, and we thank Chelsea for placing their trust in us. Most importantly, Marc wanted to come to Sunderland and be a part of our Club. The competition for his signature was significant, and he had many high-quality options this summer, so we are delighted he’s joined Sunderland. Marc’s a progressive striker who has key attributes that align with the role in our team. In addition to providing a threat in the final third, we believe there are many other ways he can impact games, and we look forward to helping him do that throughout the 2025-26 season.”
If I was a betting man, and I'm not, I'd guess Guiu won't play much before the international break. Hasn't had any pre season has he?
he did yeh, and Chelsea were only due back in training this week, and he's not been with them. So he'll take a while to get back up to speed.
don't think he's done any proper training since the CWC. Might be a slow burner. Just telling people not to expect him to be thrown in. Reggie gave Reinildo 10 days of solid training before putting into a friendly. Xhaka and Roefs came straight in as they'd had full pre seasons elsewhere.
I agree with you mate. Wouldn’t be surprised to see Mayenda start against West Ham with Guiu on the bench.
Have a good feeling about this lad, his pedigree is about as good as you could ask for, seems hungry and eager to prove himself.
I have had some unexplainable pre season experiences where strikers seem able to jump straight back in. I think it is because so much of their game is instinct, at least out and our goalscorers. He wont be out of condition having been at the CWC. It will be more about him learning about us and us him. He excites me a lot tbh.
It was posted on here, though Nick Barnes, or whoever from the chronicle, then seemed to cover himself with "probable"
Really, a young fit lad from Spain, via Chelsea, he knows the season is close. He will have been training hard. A few weeks behind at the most.
