    Just what we're made of!

Congrats to Chelsea, I hate them but can't take away the fact they had a decent game today from what I saw.

But now comes the big test. Chelsea have now taken 3rd for the time being, the Sunderland game has just doubled in magnitude and we'll see how much bottle our lads have now. We were in a honeymoon period up until last night and today has certainly made it a lot more edgy and perhaps brought us down to earth a little bit. That said, I'm more than confident in the lads to pull through and finally show the potential that we've seen for a couple of years now.

Personally, looking at it from a neutral perspective, I think this season is going to be the best season the Prem has EVER had. The competition at the top has never been so open. There are 6 possibly 7 teams that may feel they have a chance of winning the title/ gaining a champions league place - City, Utd, Chelsea, us, Arsenal, 'Pool and Newcastle. Some chances are better than others but they're still chances and shouldn't be discredited at this stage of the season.

Back with my Spurs hat on, lets hope the likes of Bale, Luka, Rafa and Ade, our match winning players really up the pace/ move up a gear and fight for something that could be really special. I called it ages ago that I think we'll get 3rd (atleast!), I'm still sticking with that, despite the blip. We've got a fantastic squad, we may not have the mentality that say Utd and Chelsea have in terms of knowing how to win a title and strive 'til the very last game but what we do have, is a fantastic, reasonably young squad that will surely give it a go and continue to delight our fans with our superb attacking ability, lets hope it pays off come the final game of the season.

    We are Tottenham, Super Tottenham!

As I saw it SoS, after seeing they couldn't press high up the pitch, they parked the bus for most of the game, even when City had 10 men, at that point AVB was happy with a draw. A weird game that tipped the Chavs way with the SO.

The next game for us is a real test. Sunderland will have extra spring in their step by wearing MON's shoes...I jest!:D...because of their late win, top sides have one bad game, not two. I hope King is fit now YK is banned for this one.

Hi Notso. I saw from 25 to half time then switched back on for the last 15/20 mins and I thought it looked a decent game, though I was surprised Chelsea didn't press more after I realised City were down to 10, perhaps that's showing that they have declined from a couple of years ago as the Chelsea back then wouldn't have stopped attacking til the final whistle. Still think they played well though and it'll make the 22nd feel like the world cup final in my opinion, I can imagine the atmosphere will be electric!

I too hope for King to return, especially like you say with Sunderland now under MoN's guidance and the loss of Younes. Though Bassong gave me some encouragement with his display. With or without Ledley, we SHOULD get the three points and more importantly we NEED them now (though that should go without saying).

This wasn't a vintage Chelsea by any means but I think they deserve credit nonetheless today. They are on a bit of a roll right now and I wouldn't like to play them anytime soon. Romeo has been like a new signing for them. Hard to believe he is only 20 years old, he is going to be some player.

Mancini tried to preserve their unbeaten run by taking off Aguero and Silva for Kolo and De Jong after Clichy got his marching orders, but it backfired.Whether this is going to unsettle Man City is hard to say, one can hope. This season is going to go right down to the wire.

tbh we should steamroll Sunderland if we have any aspirations. the big game is against Chelsea later on this month.

From what i saw today we should have the pace to attack them and fingers crossed have our shooting boots on.

    and damn that first return!

Our pace will definitely prove problems. We've seen Terry f*ck up against pace before and I'm sure if Bale and Lennon are in top gear, Terry, along with his fellow defenders are going to be in for a tough ride!

It's a cup final mate. Absolutely massive game and that's excluding the rivalry!

We need to win the Sunderland game first and foremost and having seen them on Sunday I don't think they'll cause us many problems in attack but O'Neill will have the time to get them defensively organised and if he gets the best out of Brown and O'Shea it may be a frustrating day.

I still think it's a good time to play Chelsea, Lampard's not happy about being dropped, Torres looks like he's given up on football and if Luiz can go a weekend without getting sent off, Adebayor and VDV will rip shreds out of him and Terry.

Looking at our fixtures up to the new year we should be aiming for all 12 points. That said, I'd be delighted with 9/10 points out of it.

    Absolutely mate.

Sunderland are no walkover but we need to win home games against teams like this. A Draw is not good enough and a loss is disastrous. As you say MoN will have had some time now to work on O'Shea/ Brown and Co. and therefore it could be tricky to break down, that said, our attacking threat when in full flow, is enough to break 99% of defences down.

I agree about Chelsea. There seems to be a dark cloud over there. AVB clearly doesn't have the full support of the dressing room and wasting players like Anelka, Alex etc is great from a Spurs perspective. Lampard stating his confusion as to why he's not being selected is also an indication that something's not right over there.

Aslong as we play how we have done over the past couple of months, I can't see us dropping too many points in the near future, providing the refs don't f*ck us over that is!!!
